I had a great experience my first time here. Service was what I expected not bad by any means but not over the top. The star of the night for me was the Noodle Roll I had pork and beef 10/10 They are leagues above other restaurants. The Clay Pot steam rice dish is so so. Nothing special was good 5/10. All in all its a nice spot I’m glad I found and will be back.

Cute restaurant, good food, and friendly service. Recommended. Highly recommend beef cube with mixed mushrooms, scallops with egg white fried rice, shrimp rolls, and Fujian pan-fried noodles. The squid was decent. The Mongolian beef was salty.

My everyday go to eating place in Sacramento, owner has been in business for 20+yrs, special order, customized events or parties, 80+ seating area, great location next to mall and banks, minutes to William land park and City College. Taste amazing and price is fair, recommended to ALL. Original Chinese Cantonese Tastes.

5 stars for the fresh rice rolls. Soft and silky.

Would have given five stars if the dishes were a little less oily. Everthing was super tasty. Salt and pepper fish tasted very fresh, with light batter. Seafood chowmein was flavorful and had enough seafood, although oily. Choy sum had a wonderful savory taste, but was also too heavy on the oil. This was the first time I had pig ears (I’m caucasian) — they were moderately spicy and delicious.

The waitress was incredibly rude to us. Her attitude towards cantonese and white people is very nice however when it comes to us, mandarin speakers she seemingly held a special grudge against us. She would hurriedly serve our food almost like she was tossing it at us. I don’t know of her name but she’s the lady with blonde golden short hair and bangs. I’m never going to this establishment again with the way they treat us. Be very mindful when coming to this establishment.

The hygiene of this restaurant is down right atrocious and horrifying. I found hair in the red scallion ginger chicken. I should have took a picture of it but when I complained to the waitress I was dismissed. She pointed the blame on me because I noticed the hair in the last piece of chicken. The hair was literally fried and embedded in the chicken. Terrible hygiene and customer service. Seems like she’s used to this.

I got diarrhea from their sweet sour pork and pineapple. Had the diarrhea for 3 days. Not fresh, tasted like it was from the freezer and it tasted weird. Terrible service by one of the waitresses, had an attitude. Never coming back

Outside, this appears to be a typical neighborhood “American-style” Chinese restaurant, and there are plenty of familiar items on the menu (sweet sour pork, honey walnut prawns, kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, etc.). What makes T of O more interesting than the everyday Chinese restaurant are the less common dishes. We started with pot stickers, salt and pepper tofu, and spicy pig ears, all well prepared. The standout was the pig ears; the ears were thinly julienned with sliced cucumbers, served cold in a very spicy dressing (a crunchy treat with a kick). For our main course, we chose the pork and duck rice clay pot, salted egg yolk pumpkin shrimp, and stir-fried green beans with garlic. I thought the duck in the clay pot was a bit dry, but these dishes were otherwise excellent. Service was attentive if a bit haphazard, but this is a new place so this should improve with time. I thought the food portions were ample for the price, and we had plenty of leftovers to take home for later noshing. Looking forward to future visits. Recommended.
