Discovered vis Google, small almost hole in the wall place from the outside but classy on the inside. The bread was divine, pizza amazing and ribs were to die for. Definitely stopping any time we are in the area.

We had the deconstructed grilled cheese and the Margherita pizza. Both were good but the price seemed high. We sat at the countertop and watched food prep. Everyone was friendly! There were more people working than were in the restaurant.

I wish I could add more stars! The best food in the area by a long shot. We sat at the bar and talked with the chef and staff and got to watch them cook. It was more than great food…it was an experience. My wife and I plan on coming back as often as we can.

We ended up at Lucia’s on a Sunday afternoon because the other pizza places in town were closed and we’re so happy we ended up here instead!

Don’t let the small size fool you. This is fine dining in a very casual atmosphere. The prices seem high until you taste the quality of the food. We went at a busy time and ended up sitting in the bar stool area facing the kitchen. It turned out to be the best spot. We ordered a jerk chicken pizza, a cheese pizza and the lasagna. The jerk chicken was spicy but delicious on a thin crust. The cheese pizza was just right with a puffy crust that my non crust eating 9 year old gobbled up. The lasagna is not your olive garden variety. It was individually made and then fired in the oven right next to the pizzas. The meat on it had actual flavor and it wasn’t drowned out by red sauce.

Second time here and both times the both was incredible. Set at the bar top and the owner/chef was super friendly. It was dinner and a show. Don’t expect to get in and out quick though. The amount of labor that went into each dish was impressive. Pizza and bread were great. Also I’ve had the rigatoni and lasagna. The handmade lasagna was my favorite so far but both were great.

Delicious pizza and pasta. We also enjoyed the deconstructed grilled cheese appetizer. Several locals recommended the restaurant. We really wish someone had told us the establishment is BYOB. Otherwise a great experience.

holy. smokes. absolutely delicious food with fantastic service as well – I had the coconut brodo gnocchi with oyster mushrooms and we started with the shrimp in lemon cream with fried garlic. Boyfriend got the rigatoni buttera which was killer as well. Their homemade italian bread is a beautiful addition to their dishes and we will most certainly be back to try more items off their menu. if I could give more stars I would definitely one of the best places I’ve been since moving out of the chicago area

We were driving through from an event and stopped by, best decision ever. The people were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was so delicious. Some might say a little pricey. You get a 13-14 inch pizza (8 slices) for around $21-$23. We ordered 3 of them. They were so good. Well worth every penny. Chef’s kiss!! Highly recommend. We will be back. Thank you for the great experience Lucia’s Italian Kitchen

We were looking for pasta for dinner the night before a swim meet and were so happy to find this place. Everything was fantastic! We enjoyed the bread & butter, Caesar salad, lasagna and rigatoni. We sat at the bar and our daughter loved seeing what was going on in the kitchen. We also were able to talk to the chef. We will be back the next time we find ourselves in Effingham.
