Delicious food! Great service. We ordered hibachi bento boxes, appetizers, and drinks. It was enough food for us to have meals for the next day and came in at just under $50 for the 2 of us. The portion sizes were very generous for price. We’ll definitely be back.

By far the only place in the region that serves authentic and DELICIOUS sushi. Service is welcoming and cheerful, which has kept us coming back almost every week. Food is served in a very clever design for easy to-go packaging. Good vibes here.

Been here twice now, and this is definitely one of my new favorite places to eat here in Norton, VA! First time I got the chicken hibachi and a Godzilla roll while my husband had a combination bento box and gyoza. Our second trip we both just got chicken hibachi. The hibachi was fantastic and I would definitely say my favorite! The chicken was tender, had great flavor and the veggies were good. Now the broccoli the first time was a little tough, but second time it was fine. The rice was great! The Godzill roll was fantastic. For note, I’ve never had a deep fried sushi roll, but the crunch and taste was so good! The gyoza was also a huge hit with my husband, he greatly enjoyed them. The prices are very fair given the portions and quality. Staff have been very courteous and polite both times as well.

When it comes to food, I’m a believer of trying anything twice. Im glad we gave a Osaka a 2nd try. The 1st time we came was during their opening week and they we were very busy. The service was good but the food was lacking. We gave it a couple of weeks and tried again. It was much better than the first time. The service was still good but this time the food was much better and more flavorful. We’ve been back a few times, and the quality has stayed consistent. Osaka has become one of our go-to places. We recommend the habachi dinners, but im not a fan of the miso soup that comes with the dinners, so I usually ask to substitute it for their clear soup or a salad. We also liked the monster roll.

Had dinner here the other night. My overall impression was “meh”. Like sure it’s good for Norton where there isn’t really many options for Asian food that isn’t buffet (until Yamatos opens) but I had seen people saying it was the best sushi they had ever eaten. In the interest of getting a balanced idea of the food I ordered a roll that included raw fish (rainbow roll) and a roll that included tempura. They were both just ok, but I have had far better sushi just in Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson City. I also ordered hibachi, the meat was ok but the vegetables were so undercooked that I couldn’t even eat the broccoli. Fried rice that accompanied was very bland. On a positive note the miso soup was good and the wontons were 6 for $6 and were also good. They also have a weird set up, if you eat in you order up front from a display or menu at the register and then pay immediately like you would at a fast food restaurant, you seat yourself and get your own drinks. Even if you eat in everything is served in styrofoam or equivalent to go containers and only have plastic utensils which make eating hibachi difficult. Overall I would rate a 3.5 out of 5 and that estimate may go down depending on how Yamatos stacks up when they open.

We have typically eaten here about twice a months for a couple of months. The good is great for Norton… But this night we ordered sushi. The manager was talking about how she needed to be outta there by 9 pm…it was 8:20 when we placed our order. We watched party after patch get their meals while we waited for sushi. We finally got our sushi at 9:02 pm. The hall that brought it to us thought the manager had told us there would be a delay because one of the cooks didn’t show up. When we discussed this with the manager, she was rude and defensive. I realize there is no way they could have known that there would be an influx of customers, but it should have been communicated with us that the sushi would be the last thing made because they were down a cook. Instead, we attitude… Not even a price adjustment. Plus…I don’t like being served with plastic ware…. It sets wrong with me. We won’t be going back.

Had a great dine in experience and the atmosphere along with the waiter was top notch. The food was great, I enjoy it more than Yamatos and I’ve had both several times, yet I’m glad we have a variety of Japanese again! Only thing I dislike about it was my wife’s to go order could’ve used more yum yum
