Spirits
Rocker Bourbon
A sweeter whiskey with caramel, butterscotch, and honey notes up front coupled with a light citrus and moderate oak finish. Nose comes across as sweet, creamy cereal. Enjoyably long warm finish.
Rocker Rye
Peach Street Bourbon
Our bourbon is made from all-Colorado grains, Rocky Mountain water and a healthy dose of tomfoolery. We mill and cook the corn by hand, open air ferment it, and distill the mash in our Christian Carl Pot Still. Then we age it in first-use charred American Oak for as long as time will allow. “In Hoover we Trust.”
Peach Street Rye
Distilled from Smoked Rye and malted barley and then infused with a cold smoker at proofing. This is an audacious little spirit that’s not for the faint of heart, but the faint of heart don’t come around here much anyway.
Leopold Brothers Straight Bourbon
Open fermentation in wooden tanks with both house-cultured and indigenous yeast strains. Pot distilled and unfiltered. Aged four years in new American white oak charred barrels on earthen floors in the distillery’s unheated dunnage-style bonded warehouse.
Leopold Brothers Small Batch Whiskey
We begin by fermenting a traditional sour mash of corn and rye at colder temperatures, but without the aid of refrigeration. Fermentation takes more time this way, but results in a softer whiskey and develops subtle flavors such as vanilla, pear, and raspberry. We then distill the mash in our small batch copper potstill on grain to extract fuller and rounder flavors from the corn and rye. Finally, we barrel the distillate at the Pre-Prohibition standard of 98 proof, so that the barrel may add subtle notes of oak and vanilla and does not overpower the finished whiskey.
Leopold Brothers Rocky Mountain Blackberry Whiskey
The finest blackberries from the Rocky Mountain region are harvested over the summer, juiced, and blended with our whiskey, creating an intensely rich spirit. The whiskey rests in charred American barrels, where notes of vanilla, raisin, and oak are pulled from the barrel itself, flavoring the whiskey. The spirit is naturally colored by the barrel and blackberry juice used, without the aid of artificial coloring agents. Lastly, it is bottled by hand to maintain the integrity of the sweet blackberries and soft finish.
Branch & Barrel Bourbon
We produce this Small Batch spirit entirely in-house, by hand, using only the best locally sourced ingredients. Our distillery equipment is similarly hand-built, lending an air of authenticity and quality you simply won’t find anywhere else. By proofing down with Rocky Mountain Snowmelt, aging a minimum of 4 years in new charred oak, and utilizing a special slow-distillation process, our award-winning Bourbon showcases rich flavor, a full body, and genuine Colorado craft excellence.
Branch & Barrel 3 Way
here’s something that just feels right about the number ‘3’. 3 years in New Oak, 3 flavors in the finishing barrel, and 3 yes’s: ‘Yes’ to adventure, ‘yes’ to flavor, and ‘yes’ to an experience you surely won’t forget. After the aforementioned time spent in new charred oak, we transfer our bourbon to a very special series of finishing barrels, seasoned with cinnamon whiskey, real vanilla bean extract, and finally authentic dark maple syrup. Over the 1+ years our whiskey spends resting in these 3-Way barrels, the spirit picks up decadent notes such as Cinnamon, Walnut, Orange Zest, Maple, and Vanilla Cream Frosting. Still with us? It gets even better: we keep our 3-Way whiskey at 100 proof so that you can enjoy a full-bodied, full-strength spirit that doesn’t compromise on its whiskey roots.
Branch & Barrel Cafe Miel
Cafe Miel is a luxurious coffee laden twist on our classic Honey Barrel Finished Bourbon. We partnered up with our friends at Denver’s own Corvus Coffee Roasters to create this very unique and decidedly spirituous espresso expression. Our 4-Year Honey Whiskey rested for an extra 24 hours with sustainably sourced whole roasted beans from a special Corvus blend with origins in Brazil, Colombia, and Rwanda. Look forward to notes of fresh and vibrant Espresso, Hazelnut, Chocolate, and Honeyed Pecans.
State 38 Straight Bourbon
Specialty malts are utilized to create an extremely smooth and well rounded Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Great bourbon is made in Colorado. Nose: sweet corn, butterscotch, baking spice. Front: red velvet cake with a hint of stone fruit. Finish: dark cherry and dry cinnamon with a lingering baking spice. (90 Proof)
291 Small Batch Colorado Bourbon
Notes of vanilla, cherry and spice permeate our single barrel bourbon. Made grain to barrel to bottle, paying homage to the past,“…the honeycomb and molasses play their part, as does the rye amid the soft grains…” – the Whisky Bible Distilled from a bourbon sour mash, distilled in a copper pot still, aged in American White Oak deep char barrels and finished with toasted Aspen Staves. San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold winner. American Whiskey Master. Made from corn, malted rye, malted barley mash. 50% Alc/Vol – 100 PROOF
Locke & Co Aspen Aged Rye
The rye whiskey starts with sweetness. Hints of cherry pits and vanilla, and then the spice of the rye comes in on the tip of my tongue, but it has a soft mouthfeel to it.Mid-palate, there are subtle notes of caramel and golden maple syrup with some tobacco and cinnamon notes as it becomes buttery smooth, and well-rounded between the sweet and spicy characteristics.
Breckenridge Bourbon
Our award-winning, high-rye Bourbon Whiskey is aged for a minimum of three years, in charred, new American oak barrels, and blended to reveal the unique qualities of the Bourbon Whiskey. Deep, honey-amber hue with pronounced aromas of butterscotch, candied orange and apple; dry cacao and brown sugar envelop the tongue as the spirit lingers with notes of vanilla and white pepper.

Ever had the best fried pickles in Colorado? If not, get here asap. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is glorious! There is plenty of space to accommodate large parties, and the outdoor patio seating has great views of the mountains. The price for food and drink is comparable to other locations nearby serving different types of food.

Never had pulled pork egg rolls. Tried it and liked it. It’s exactly what you think. Pulled pork in rolled up in similar egg roll pastry. Had the Pulled pork sandwich. You really depend on the mustard dressing to give the pulled pork flavor, otherwise it’s dry and flavorless. The item I liked most were the waffle sweet potato fries. The service was great. Super friendly and prompt.

We’ve been coming to the rusty tapp for a few years and it’s one of those places that feels like family. One of my personal favorites is the smoked turkey on pretzel roll and a nice red from comrade brewing co. Great place for lunch or dinner and the atmosphere is always friendly and inviting with some great people.

Ordered 1/2 of brisket with beans to go and the beef was boiled. The beans were very salty and the little pieces of pork tasted old. I ended up paying $26 with tip… Totally not worth it, I think they have lowered their quality. Later on after eating the food I was sick, pretty much got food poisoning from the beans.

Basic tavern atmosphere, but the food was good and the service from the bartender/server was very helpful and attentive. I have a temporary food restriction eating soft food and I wanted BBQ and steak fries. I was satisfied and look forward to eating at Rusty Tapp in the future.

We’ve eaten here about a half dozen times. BBQ can be a bit hit or miss, but this place has been consistent each time. The meat was delicious and the rub and sauces compliment well. It’s small inside, but don’t let that stop you.

Brisket sandwich was great. For a side I had Cole Slaw, don’t recommend it, one bite, was brownish in color, no flavor. Great recipes on the internet. For a replacement I had Mac and Cheese. Horrible, should be cheesy orange goodness, this was not, brown nasty stuff. If you just want a good BBQ sandwich, they have it, but watch those sides.

Disappointing. Son and I thought we’d try new place for BBQ, won’t be back. Only one sauce offered, tasted like it was at least half ketchup, no other flavor detected. Brisket was dry, flavorless, except for slightly browned exterior. Kielbasa was like what you get from grocery store house brand, was cooked, but didn’t seem to have been on grill. Burnt ends were not much, tasted like plain brisket we get at other BBQ places locally. Hot links were flavorful, but no spice to speak of, were what kielbasa should have tasted like. Smoked baked potato had good flavor, but was not cooked all the way, had to use knife to cut it up [used to just using fork on baked taters]. Baked beans were very good, best item of meal. Coleslaw was bad, limp, tasteless, seemed like a couple days past it’s prime.
