This place has absolutely amazing stuff. The chef has an expanded menu on Saturdays. Pretty much every meal they make is to die for, but aji de gallina is my favorite, lomo saltado, chaufa and ceviche come close second. And obviously alfajores are fantastic, otherwise they wouldn’t be selling them all over the Bay Area. A place to go if you like good food, and not just Peruvian.

Their freshly-made alfajores is the neighbor’s gem. They have 3 kinds and all are tasty with light and crunchy texture. $1.75 each. You can buy a piece but also they have boxed version which is good for a gift. Very nice people. You also find other Peruvian soft drinks as well as snacks.

This is the most authentic outside of Peru that I have tried here in the Bay Area

The service was great at this small cramped, mostly take out place. There are a couple of tables outside, There is no parking available, and the neighborhood is a bit cramped in terms of parking. The redeeming quality is the food, which was fairly authentic, and the list of available dishes on the weekends was decent. We have only tried their empanadas, tamales, chicha morada, and turrón, which weren’t great. However, were good enough to satisfy a craving for the ordered items. Look forward to one of these days trying the weekend menu.

Great & affordable empanadas and alfajores. The Peruvian specials on Saturday are also delicious.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Empanadas are excellent, my child loves the spinach one. Also devoured the Tamale, and the Peruvian sausage + fried egg + sauce smother on top of French fries. Really good!

Amazing alfajores and empanadas. The alfajores were fresh, and perfectly sweet (not overly so). The empanadas were also quite delicious. The dough is soft and each of the fillings are tasty. We tried all 4 flavors and liked them each, though I particularly liked the chicken one. The hot sauce on the side is magic… flavorful, spicy and a bit nutty. The service was also amazing. They were kind and accommodating, inviting us in after they were closed. It was our first time there and we left so impressed… will be sure to return whenever I’m in the area.
