This review is for the kitchen only. We went on saturday afternoon to get sandwiches. It was fairly packed so we asked how long the wait for food was. They said 20min so I thought most people were drinking mainly.

This is a not-so-secret gem! Try the ham, apple butter on focaccia, you won’t be disappointed. Plenty of seating inside and out + they have high chairs and are welcoming to kids.

Food was not great and they messed up my husbands order. The ruben was overcooked and the servers were way to casual. Would not recommend.

The deli is basically just a few kinds of sandwiches… But they’re pretty good. I suspect it’s there just so they could serve drinks.

I needed a grilled cheese; they had a grilled cheese. I added tomatoes and successfully received them inside my grilled cheese. They no longer have Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, which is sad because many people said they were quite good. Very inexpensive compared to either nearby, or greater- Portland, prices. Nicely separated from the beer store, so if you are going to eat there, it won’t feel like you’re dining in the middle of a Safeway or Boozes R Us. Sandwich would have benefited from a light dose of mayo, though, in order to achieve the grilled-cheese-as-perfect-sandwich-archetype level, in terms of contrasting textures as well as flavors. Still, it was perfectly cooked, so the contrasting-textures aspect was met, and well. I don’t normally catch a meal inside a beer store, but when I do, I do it at John’s, and on the cheap.

Best burgers you can get in the village! So cheap, and so tasty. I usually have a complicated order and they have never once gotten it wrong.
