I order from here before and received the most watery palak paneer with 2 pieces of paneer in it. I thought I’d try it again to see if it was a fluke. It was not. This “mutter paneer “ was so water and greasy and only had a few pieces. Do not try this place. I also think they operate under the name gunpowder cafe.

Omg, This place blew my mind, the “lamb sheek kabab” tasted like back home, The flavors and the tender of the meat is so juicy, and neat. The biryani is not to the notch but don’t get out without eating non-veg curries with garlic naan .

I wish I could give negative starts if possible. This is the worst restaurant I have ever been in US. The ambience of restaurant is quite creepy and no cleanliness. The food was not fresh and smelled and tasted like food cooked before a day. Ordered a paneer tikka paratha roll and they gave me a paratha wrapped with veggies, mayonnaise and raw paneer inside with no salt. And shahi paneer was worse I ever had it was kind of rotten and the naan and paratha was burnt. I recommend not to try this restaurant. Worse Indian restaurant in Philly. Horrible experience.

I bought a mango lassi since it’s cheaper than mood cafe. The menu on the outside of the building says 2.95 I was charged $4. I asked why so much and the cashier said because of tax. Cashier said it is 2.95 just plus tax. When I got my receipt it says the price was 3.50 plus tax which totals up to $3.78. I never got my exact change. I thought about asking for it but I didn’t because the guy ran away all the way into the back. This place must need it more than me.

The first time I ordered I would have given 3 stars, for it was mediocre but edible, and lacked the spice that I asked for. This time around against my better judgement and laziness to travel for better food I ordered for a second time. I ordered the buttered chicken or chicken makhani, the sauce was so thin it was like soup, and there was absolutely no spice whatsoever despite me asking can it be made extra spicy. The Paneer Naan I received had one spot of cheese, the garlic one was the only thing made correctly. I love supporting the area I’m in but this restaurant failed me twice.

The best Indian food in town for your buck. Everything I have ordered in my multiple visits there has surprised me. Everything has been delicious, well cooked and freshly prepared. The price is very cheap compared to all other Indian restaurants nearby.

So I use to frequent this place, but they have gone down hill over the years and keep cutting corners. Today about 5min ago I picked up some food lamb karahi and Goat curry and they served it with spoiled rice. So I had to throw the rice out and now I’m cooking new rice. It use to be a respectable Indian resturaunt but they must be burnt out to risk customer health. The goat was fine, I have not tried the lamb kharahi yet. I’ll keep you updated. I won’t be coming back. They did offer me a free mango lassi but I’m scared it might be spoiled. Again I’ll keep you posted.

We ordered tandoori chicken but got some bad smelling chicken pieces that was not even dry. Chicken Tikka masala was too watery and bland. I would avoid visiting it again. Worthless for what you pay!

This is my first time coming here and my last. The owner who’s a lady looked extremely depressed like she want no parts of her existence. While I was waiting for my food, I went to use the bathroom. Someone knocked on the door and I said I’m in here. Can you believe this man (the co-owner) unlocked the door from the outside and stared at me while on the toilet. His excuse was that he though his wife was in there. Explain to me how it would be remotely appropriate if that was the case. There’s something off about that place and I won’t be going back there again.
