I love Java Jacks: it is a beacon of third wave specialty coffee in the heart of deep east Texas. From the litany of creative lattes to the cappuccino and other traditional drinks, to the single origin beans and home brew equipment available for purchase, I always look forward to Java Jacks when I visit Nacogdoches. Plus the building is really cool with its hexagonal-domed roof with skylights on the second floor; excellent ambience for working. Music is not too loud, so virtual meetings are possible with headphones/earbuds, though the music may come through as background noise. They also have good scones and other food.

I love croissant sandwiches and seek them out wherever I go. The Spicy Pig croissant sandwich is a 10 out of 10 amazing croissant sandwich! I highly recommend it, as well as eating it inside the store. Its a great vibe and awesome way to start the morning.

One of our favorites coffee houses. Great lattes and coffee. We also like their selection of scones and muffins. (pictured is a cranberry muffin) We generally do take out but have also sat in their cafe which is very comfortable. Always great service too!

I am at Java Jack’s Coffee House, with my husband, buying a spiced chai latte with two shots and a white chocolate mocha. The spiced chai latte with two shots is the best-tasting coffee drink I’ve had in months! Yummy! The coffee house is busy, with conversations swirling about. The restrooms are clean and stocked, as is the rest of the building. The large, free parking lot is clean. Service is fast and knowledgeable. Recommended!

This is by far the best coffee shop in Texas. Which makes sense being located in the oldest town in Texas. The staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. The coffee is always good, hot, fresh, and made just the way you want it. The blueberry muffins, as well as all the pastry, are wonderful, tasty, and fresh out of the oven. If you’re a local or just traveling through, if you haven’t tried Java Jacks, you don’t know what you’re missing.

The smell of freshly baked blueberry muffins greeted me at the door and coaxed me into its spell with its siren song. It only got better from there. Good music played over softly as patrons enjoyed good conversation over delightfully brewed beverages. As I awaited my cappuccino, I perused the whole bean selections. Found one I liked and bought it. Locally grown and roasted, the vast and interesting selection offers something for everyone. I made a point to further explore the café and discovered the neat upstairs lounge. Oh, and did I mention they had a second-floor patio? If you ever come to Nacogdoches and need a pick-me-up, let Java Jack’s bring you to coffee heaven and away from the worries of your world.
