This place was rockin’ the weekend of Shanty Days in Algoma. We stopped in for a bloody after the parade and had considered the “loaded” one, but just weren’t in the mood for a donut on our cocktail. We decided on just a ‘regular’ bloody/Coronita chaser and were very pleased. Someone in our group said that was the best bloody mary they ever had. The accompaniments were plentiful and the drink very tasty. The decor was pretty kitschy, but the many patrons didn’t mind. We ended up sitting inside because there was no room on the partio. Live music sounded pretty good. Check it out!

Making “Smashed on the Rocks” a destination spot is a MUST!!! Super friendly & fun place. Makes you feel like you’re at an ocean side Caribbean bar. Bloody Mary mix is homemade. Owned by a daughter & mother. “Grandma Smashed” works there too (that’s how she introduced herself.. lol). She’s the mom/grandma of the owners.

If the section in the corner with a couch says no kids under 18 don’t take your 1.5yo grandson and sit on the couch. I was told he can’t be in there. It’s a couch. Oh and expect a 1.5-2hr wait for 4 bloodies. Cool place and bloodies are good but getting told I had to get my grandson out of there who was right next to me really set me off.

I’ve driven by here quite a few times and I finally stopped in. Amazing place! Great tunes, wonderful staff, all very friendly. Even the customers were nice. I ordered a loaded Bloody Mary. Best I’ve had! It was a Sunday and it did take almost an hour to get it but a lot of people were ordering it so it’s totally understandable. I met a couple friends up here so I’m glad I went. Unfortunately it was raining so the band couldn’t play. That’s OK because I had a great time anyway. I very highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

The place has an awesome atmosphere! The decor is very interesting and unique. We didn’t order food because the kitchen was closed due to a Lions Club fundraiser, who were selling hamburgers, hotdogs, and such.
