The best soul food restaurant in Rockland. Food was amazing. Very reasonably priced. We enjoyed BBQ Ribs, Mac n Cheese and Collards as well as Fried Whiting, Collards and Potato Salad. All exceptionally delicious! We ordered to go (although you can eat there), they included condiments and plastic ware WITHOUT me asking. Portions were huge!!!! The server taking my order allowed to change out string beans for collards at no extra charge. Will Definitely be back! Thanks Sage

I googled soul food near me and Sage popped up! In the reviews people wrote how good the food was so I had to try it out for myself. I was not disappointed! Everything was delicious! My mom and I shared the fried chicken which was super flavorful, collard greens, potato salad, Mac & cheese, and whiting. It felt like Sunday dinner. Lots of love in that food. We will definitely be back!

Rockland County definitely Lacks in the Southern cuisine restaurant department so this establishment is a wonderful addition! Located in a small Plaza off a side street from Route 59 it was easy to find. With a dine in or take out option available to customers I recommend calling ahead if your taking out. The portion to price ratio meets the standard and service is always served with a smile. The Southern Fried Chicken is literally layered with flavor!!! and the ribs are cooked to perfection. I would recommend adding another dish to the menu aside from the delicious ribs that is not fried but that’s just me being greedy lol

It should be illegal to have food taste this good!!! Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out on a whim after having a hankering for some soul food. It was 8 miles away from us, but with the +4 start review, we figured it might be worth the drive….

This is a cute lil restaurant. Ordered the fried fish meal with Mac & cheese & a order of yams. My husband had potato salad and Mac & cheese. The potato salad was really good! We also enjoyed the rest of our meal. The only problem is that the rest room smells like pure urine and needs to be cleaned! It’s pretty close to the kitchen where the food is prepared. That is a no, no! I’m not sure if it was a busy day & no one had time to clean the rest room but having a restaurant your restrooms should be cleaned an smelling good at all times!

Sage’s Atmosphere is lovely. The staff is amazing and courteous . I decided to go with the fried fish, sweet potatoes and collard greens. It was delicious !!!! The owner went out of his way for me and answered all of my questions. and I’ll be recommending this restaurant to friends and family !! Can’t wait to come back.

The food here is second to none. Me being a lover of fried whiting I must say it was on point. The yams were just right not to sweet and the Mac and cheese was on point too. The fired chicken was amazing nice and crispy in addition the cornbread was made great.Ohh let me not forget the prices are right.
