We ate at The Boil Shack for the first time recently and had a really great experience. We ordered the crab hush puppies and two snow crab boils with garlic butter and one with light spice. Everything was great. I didn’t really care for the hush puppies; I thought they could have used more crab, but my boyfriend loved them, and the sauce was delicious. The crab boils were excellent and the garlic butter sauce was so good, I wanted to douse everything in it. It was also really good with the light spice added; it wasn’t too spicy and had really nice flavor. The crab was cooked perfectly and cracked out of the shell in one piece every time. Service was great and our meal was brought to us by a robot, which was pretty cool. We’d never seen anything like that before. The prices were also pretty good, even at market price. All in all, we’d definitely return for a meal again.

We arrived in the area after a half-day of driving. We wanted something close to the hotel where we stayed. We were trying to avoid chain restaurants so as to give business to independent restauranteurs. This place was all right to good. Both our meals were satisfactory if not five stars. The server was polite and competent but didn’t exude personal warmth… The type of smile that’s tight and doesn’t reach the eyes. We felt that she was doing her job conscientiously but didn’t overextend herself. There was a novelty robot circulating to “help” waitstaff a/ o customers.

It was excellent. We got the boil bag of potatoes, corn and shrimp, clams and lobster. Very well done and great service. Will certainly go again. ( Sorry my picture was blurry)

Good service and food. I ordered fried cajun dusted calamari and gumbo for appertizer. Main dish with combo 1 including crawfish, shrimp, corn on the cob , sausage and potatoes. I got butter garlic sauce. Food is good but I think It would be better if being cooked longer and absorbed the sauce.

When we first arrived the parking lot looked full so we were a little worried, but they sat us right away. However we asked to be moved because they sat us behind the hostess area and the phone was loudly ringing constantly and they had it set to that caller ID ring, a sound barrier would probably help. We decided to just sit at the bar; the bartender/server was super sweet and helpful!

Decided to try this place tonight for my husband’s birthday because he LOVES king crab legs, and everything was amazing! Our waitress Tanya was so great with our kids, helping us as “first timers” to know what the favorites are, and delivered impeccable service! We will definitely be back again and highly recommend!
