Just ordered some food here. I’m a say this don’t sell no darn soul food if you cooking out of a can. Them greens is straight up GLORY yuck not a lick of meat!! Turkey ribs tough. Sides super small. Our Maps app showed us this place. You never know what it will be when you get there. We were not disappointed! When the owner said he was also from Tennessee, the Memphis area, we set our expectations a little higher. It was delicious! We would stop again!

I’m not from this area, so ordering takeout is already risky, but took the chance of ordering here. Huge mistake! Ordered turkey ribs they were dried out, pork ribs the texture was dry and tasted like they were reheated from yesterday, neither of these items were actually barbequed, seemed baked. I also ordered a half chicken in case the other meats fumbled, they gave me boiled wings drowned in sauce. Mac N cheese – Velveeta box. Greens – canned ( I order green beans btw) “cornbread” tastes like cake mix and jiffy muffin mixed together. Banana pudding, just no. And finally the “grape lemonade” – grape Kool aid, not a hint of lemon. Straight purple kool-aid. Stop the false advertising please.

This is real home style barbecue. I had a half slab of ribs and they were excellent. I had the pleasure of meeting the young man who cooked my ribs as well as the owner/pit master who explained the history of Fat Man’s BBQ, that he makes his own ribs/seasonings and his Daddy’s barbecue sauce recipe that was handed down to him. This is a family operation that serves excellent BBQ in a small restaurant, my meal was served with a smile and a few very nice laughs. Don’t let the strip mall facade fool you, in the back is the real BBQ deal.

Huge THANK YOU to FAT MAN’S BBQ. My workplace celebrated Juneteenth this year and FAT MAN’S BBQ provided the food, and everything was excellent. The brisket was OUTSTANDING, The sides where just as good. Everyone REALLY Enjoyed the meal. Definitely worth it!!!

Ordered through door dash and the pulled pork sandwich was missing BUT when I called the gentleman was very sweet and admitted he forgot it. He stated I could come back and he would make it up to me. When we got there, he made a fresh sandwich, gave us a bag of chips, a piece of pie and a soda. THIS is the customer service that so many places are lacking these days. Thank you SO much for restoring my faith in the restaurant industry.
