I went for dinner here with a friend and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was amazing and it was really clean inside. It boosts a fine dining vibes when you get in so not your average Chinese restaurant. The food was delicious and large portions. The drinks were very good, not watered down. The experience is a 10/10 would definitely come again. Everything on the menu was reasonably priced. The server was professional and nice.

Golden Lotus Restaurant Portland Maine, If your palette craving dim sum try the soup dumplings, nice flavor but too much dough,the Siu Mai was delicious, chicken feet stew had nice five spice flavor and cha Siu bows had delicious flavor as well as house fried rice mixed with shrimp,chicken,ham,vegetables medley and pork dumplings was crispy and delicious ,black bean short rib with bok Choi and chow fun noodle was delicious but chow fun was too starchy ,should be thinner texture. Har gow dumplings is also superb Overall the dim sum treasures was delicious. If your ever in Portland give Golden lotus a try,your palette won’t disappoint. $$$$

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Brought a friend who has never tried any dim sum dishes before. The Shumai and shrimp dumplings were very good. The soup dumplings were well done and very hot. The ginger and scallion shrimp was fresh and bright. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is in need of renovation. Old and dirty carpet. I guessed the customers don’t mind because it is pack of cars. The food is ok . nothing special not much selection. No fruits. BBQ chicken is fried too hard. Sushi rice is hard. Price is fair. Buffet for $15.50. Many people post photos NOT of then showed up at this buffet.

Like everyone says, amazing food and portions, but service is horrible, I’ve been coming here a while and she’s Uber friendly to tourists or new customers, and obligated to come to my table. You can feel it… I always tip over 20%, and I’m always polite. But for some reason I’m not equal to her other customers, and I always feel this way…I’m here for food, not a gf, and I’m taken, if that’s what she thinks. So to the girl that’s a server here… Humble yourself and treat people equally. I always feel so uncomfortable here because of her!

I think it might be the best chinese food in the Portland area. Portions are huge but most importantly wonderfully flavourd! General tsaos is good and spicy beef noodle dish is amazing. Besides, the space is large and well decorated. Yes, service is “non traditional” but it is worth it to me.
