A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Not worth the long wait in the drive-thru, the quality of food, the price or the careless forgetful attitude of the cashier. Ordered the Blackened Tilapia Dinner and the Two Piece Fish And Chicken Dinner. Very small portions, both side salads were turning brown, nothing really green in it and it was wet, both corn on the cobb was stale, warm and dry, hush puppies tasted like they were cooked in old oil. This is the third time I’ve been disappointed with my meals and the attitude of the workers. I had to remind the cashier that I ordered a large beverage. She actually told me to “have a good nite and didn’t even give me my drink, nor did she give me the correct dressings for the salads or give cocktail sauce or honey mustard dipping sauce (had to make my own). I was upset when I got home. Definitely not worth the $22.56 spent. Better Business Bureau has to hear about this, I really want my money back. Not servicing this place again.

The fried fish and hushpuppy is really good. But it’s seems not too busy. I been there twice one on dinner time one on lunch time. Both seems not too many people. You order food on the counter and then they will bring your order to the table. Will come for fish fries again.

Working on this side of town and decided to try something new and different for lunch. First off excellent service with super friendly staff. Food was warm, fresh, and delicious. Large portions, being well worth the price, and our order was correct. Loved there coleslaw. It reminded me of KFC’s back in the day when it was actually good. Would definitely return when in the area.

Excellent ever since the new management took over. First- its clean. Tables, floor, counter, even restrooms. Then, helpful and friendly staff greet, and even help make suggestions for the food- even though they are the only person working the counter and the drive thru. Then, the food comes out hot. Fresh. Delicious.

My husband got brought me some Captain D’s today at it wasn’t the best. Usually we go before hitting Bradford Beach , but I’m not feel well today. First they shorted me three shrimp you get 15 and I got 12 today. Next the shrimp was overcooked and hard. This is the first time this has happened to me so I will come back again. I just hope this isn’t going to happen again or I will find another place to get my shrimp.

I was really looking forward to trying this place out. I ordered through Uber Eats and the driver got lost trying to find my house. Even with the driver getting lost, the food was still HOT when it arrived. i ordered the 2 piece fish/2 chicken strips meal and some funnel cake sticks. Im giving 2 stars because the funnel cake sticks were SO good! Unfortunately, i didn’t get to try the food because there was a hair in it hopefully next time I’ll be able to try the food because it looked so good.
