Another 1 star Michelin restaurant from my bucket list. Lucky today is restaurant week. I can come down and try it out. Food is good. Calamari is super crispy. Service is excellent. The corn soup tastes so sweet. Pork belly is a little too fatty for me today. The tomatoes salad is very refreshing. The wagyu steak is good. Salmon with seaweed is a little bit too salty and doesn’t blend well. The chicken is so soft. The cheesecake is phenomenon. Baked peach is good too. Overall I give it a full score

I was there for the restaurant week experience, overall I give 2 stars. We are group of four and we asked for another round of bread, and only half the original portion was served. Come on. The 2 dessert options were equally bad, we almost only had one bite. The waiting time for each dishes was about half an hour. Service charge included already. Can’t take it off for long wait time. My res started 6:45 pm and three courses took it to almost 10 when I am able to get out. Not gonna to waste time and money and go back.

The menu here is set up as Art-on-a-Plate Bites, and presentation is flexed on their entrées. Every dish here is meant to be shared.

Everything was exquisite. I had the 4 course prix fixe meal, which included a nori chip with a spicy salmon tartare, asparagus with jidori yolk, koji and affila cress, the sushi rice, and Wagyu w/ shiitake mushrooms in a burgundy sauce. The Wagyu stole the show. Crispy, seared crust and a tender, savory, succulent bite. The cheesecake was decadent. I loved the unexpected hint of saffron. I got complimentary dark chocolate honeycomb chocolates that left quite an impression, as I craved more the next day. The house bread was warm and tasty and the shiso butter was an interesting enhancement of flavor. The ambience and location were perfect and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I saw the chef walk by and I regret being too shy to wave and give my compliments. I’d love to come back.

Everything we ate was amazing. The wait staff was helpful , quick and attentive. We went for NYC restaurant week and look forward to going again and trying new dishes. The risotto was phenomenal , the local cod with squash spaghetti was heavenly. Cocktails were strong and came with a nice presentation, highly recommend “Smoke & fire”. This was a great culinary experience and no complaints whatsoever.

Excellent presentation of food has definitely increased our dining experience. Seafood was very delicious. The cheesecake looks so cute but doesn’t taste as good. Ambiance and service were great for a date.

Extremely good food, amazing service. Nice fusion between Asian/Japan. The oysters and the tuna tartare are to die for, and the desserts are excellent too. Elegant place, super nice location.

this is definitely a vibes spot for dinner, but I thought the food was solid. we came for restaurant week, so my review is a little skewed since we didn’t order off the typical menu/it was at a slightly lower price point than a typical dinner. the bread service with shiso butter was amazing- actually one of the best I’ve had. I thought the scallops were good, but nothing spectacular or memorable. the gnnochi was exactly what I expected, so it was a good dish, but not groundbreaking by any means. I thought the cheese dessert was not quite as exciting as I hoped, but the chocolate dessert was delicious! I would say Vestry is worth trying once, but I’m not sure if I would return.

We went there for the restaurant week. I’ve never had raw scallop before but I loved it. Risotto was outstanding, it had very rich and mixed flavor. For the main dishes we ordered chicken and cod. I normally don’t order chicken dishes at fine dining restaurants but their chicken is the best I’ve ever had, so tender and juice and flavorful. Cheesecake presentation was also very creative 🙂 overall five star and I’d love to come back for the full menu.
