The food was good; however, for the price it was on the expensive side. The venue looks nice. The place had a DJ playing and it creates a good ambience. The 3 leches cake was a little different and tasty. The mandarin cake needed some kind of sauce it was too dry. The octopus was really good. The salmon was over cooked (on the burn side). The waitress was super nice and attentive. Bill for a party of 4 (3 main course, 2 entry, 4 alcoholic drinks, and 1 jamaica) w tip over $300 (mind you 2 people shared a meal) the guacamole side is way overpriced and it’s a super small portion.

Palenque is fairly new at 5 months old and I went in on a bit of a slow night. The bartender actually first said hello and was super friendly and then the hostess walked up and was also friendly. It was a great start to my first time at a newer restaurant.

This is a place is a spot I’ve been eyeing for a bit and we were super excited to try it. The interior is very chic and love the decor. We were able to get seated right away on a Friday night, so we got super lucky.

Went to the Costa Mesa, OC location and although the decor and music were modern the food was too ,and not in the most positive way. They do a modern American version on Latin food that is way to over priced for the quality and portion given. The service was not so pleasant and we weren’t informed very well on the dishes other then the description on the menu. I pretty plate served but not much of a pleasant or tasteful palette.

Was very impressed by my experience. The food the service everything was good, for a new establishment, we can’t wait to comeback and be part of the experience of watching this restaurant succeed.

This place just recently opened and they have a long way to go. We sat down and the table next to us had been waiting for about 20 min to get their leftover food boxes. They were told the boxes were “in storage”

The space looks great and the drinks were really good. But service is really slow and it took them so long to bring our food that we weren’t even hungry anymore. And the food was actually a bit underwhelming. The fish tacos were pretty bland and the fajita was a bit greasy.
