I had to give a lower rating due to the nachos and the pizza wasnt anything amazing. They are tortilla chips rounds with microwaved/broiled shredded cheese, sweet pulled pork and fresh jalapeños. We both felt they were over priced due to they seemed as though you could microwave at home if we wanted that type of nachos….the heated cheese comes off in one big piece due the way they are made. Very underwhelming.

Love the food seriously. Always hot when delivered never had a bad meal. But the delivery time for a salad and a pasta an hour plus? And we received our delivery but forgot half of the food came back 45 minutes later with the rest. Great potential but just need to be careful getting all the food out together.

One waitress for the whole restaurant and it was very busy plus she was helping the kitchen. Poor thing. A male employee talked to a few tables but didn’t help. Bruschetta is excellent. Chicken parm was rubbery. Absent bartender. No refills. The music was extremely loud.

Friends invited us to join them here on a Saturday night. The place was very easy to find and to find parking. The handicap parking is pretty limited but was very accessible. The restaurant was also accessible and not real crowded. The restaurant was clean and seating was well spaced.

Lou’s LaGrotto is an institution. It’s been in business for longer than I’ve been alive and when you eat there it is obvious why. Italian food is the fare. Pizza is the obvious choice. I ordered a Hawaiian ( I know, I know pineapple doesn’t go on pizza) thin crust. The dough along with most of the bread seems to be made in house. The crust was thin and crisp with a great flavor. The toppings were what you would expect. The grated parm on the table was clearly grated in house. The day I went, I showed up with 25 people, I’m sure they weren’t too excited but they accommodated us and served us in a timely manner. Great food, great service, good prices. If you’re in the area, stop in and get a piece.

Love cheese? This is the place for you. Their deep dish pizza has so much cheese it’ll keep even the cheesiest of cheese lovers happy. Their cheesy garlic bread is fantastic as well. Their Monday deep dish special is an amazing price for what you get. I’m a big eater and two pieces is more than enough for me! If you’re from out of town it’s definitely worth a trip in. They have these amazing booths that are set into the wall and are super cool. Overall, a really fun experience!

Working near Peru, IL this week and we Saw the reviews and pictures on Google and had to give it a chance. The three of us were almost overwhelmed by the first slice of Deep Dish. Sent the second back to get smaller slices. Not even sure if we’ll get to the Deep Fried Lasagna. Pizzas are both Medium Deep Dish, one is Supreme, the other is Pulled BBQ Pork. All this after we startsd with their garlic bread nuggets. Excellent all around.
