LOVE this place! My boyfriend and I have been to a few omakase places in NYC but we both agreed this just became our favorite spot! The fish was high quality, price was very reasonable, but most impressive was the chef. He was so charming and chatted with everyone at the counter. It was obvious he loved his job and took great pride in his work. The vibe was laid back and fun, not stuffy at all compared to some of the other omakase places we’ve been to. We will definitely go back again!

I recently visited a sushi restaurant in the Japanese Village in Brooklyn and was blown away by the quality of the food. I can confidently say that this is one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had in New York.

Have been to many sushi places and this is the most authentic Japanese sushi I had! Fish are so fresh, so tasty with very tasty sushi rice with Japanese salt/ handmade wasabi/ Japanese soy sauce. The price is very reasonable for this quality. The chef is very professional and respectful. Just be aware that there are only ~ 10 seats and the restaurant closes 2:30-5:30. Arrive early!

Chef changed mid July 2023. Amazing sushi among best in Brooklyn! Like in Japan! I have been going to Japan for 10 years and I miss the sushi in NY. This is same quality which is amazing and saves a 12h flight ! Must try. I don’t understand why the reviews average is so low. Our service was impeccable. The atmosphere is great for a $60 Omakase. Go and try by yourself.

Fresh, soft and delicious fish. Thin slices, also good and calm atmosphere.

I went there for dinner with a friend after seeing all the positive reviews. We both got omakase and it was the worst one I’ve ever had. I can tell the chef did not want to be there or that’s just his baseline? He did not explain what each piece was as he serves it. He just plops it down in front of us and leaves. There were only 2 of us there so it’s not like he has to rush to make the next course. The way he would rummage through the fish in front of us looks like he was looking through garbage. Not to mention, the way he would try to discreetly eat some of the fish between making the sushi just seems so unsanitary. The rice was saturated with vinegar and soggy. It kept falling apart with each piece of sushi no matter what. The 2 stars is for the friendly waitress who recommended a good beer to us. She said it’s the chef’s special. When we asked the chef something about the beer, he just shrugged at us. I would definitely not be back or recommend this place.

Not sure how this place got 4.0 star reviews. I thought it was a pretty decent quiet omakase place, but it was actually a sushi bar located in the corner of a very noisy food court. The server lady was super pleasant and nice, but the chef looked like he was not willing to work. The kitchen looked super disorganized and insanitary. Someone’s ball cap was randomly placed on a bowl on the shelf, and the chef kept wiping the cutting board with a dirty cloth. And the quality of sushi was definitely not worth the price. Super overpriced. I’d go to omakase places in manhattan or somewhere else for the same price.

Take out sushi and non-existing service at premium prices. My guess is that they get their sushi from the market across the floor and the rice from the next stall, great business model but not much value for their guest.

The chef showed us a great time with lots of jokes and great food. He explained what every piece was to us and where it was from. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants good omikase.

One of the best sushi places in New York. It can be slow but trust the process. Chef’s choice always.
