Big John’s is located across from Kroger on 72 next to Bojangles. This place is really hard to find the 1st time. However, after you eat here, you will never forget how to get back. They serve fish on Friday and barbecue on Saturday. The full menu is not available all the time. I recommend you call before you make a trip if there is something specific you want to eat. The red velvet cake here is the best red velvet I’ve had in a long time. You have to check them out. You will not be disappointed!!!!

This gem of a restaurant should be known by everyone in the 256! Amazing food and customer service! As a first timer, I ordered the loaded fries, brisket sandwich, and the philly cheesesteak… WOW! 10/10 flavor, presentation, portions, everything about this food was off the charts! I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu, especially that red velvet cake ❤️

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Big John’s. We ordered a pulled pork plate with hot bbq sauce and a Philly cheesesteak plate. I was amazed by how flavorful the pulled pork was and the hot bbq sauce IS ACTUALLY HOT which is exactly what I hoped for. The fries included were absolutely perfect.

If you ever find yourself if harvest and wanting some BBQ, Big John’s should be your stop. It’s connected to an Exxon gas station. It’s on the right side and The Event Bar is on the left. (Another great place to eat, btw.)

I have tried the catfish and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent. I would definitely return and I highly recommend the food. Staff were also friendly and professional.

Oh man was this some good bbq! I ordered the pulled pork combo plate, which comes with two sides, fried cabbage and tater salad. The pork was juicy and seasoned so we’ll I didn’t even need the bbq sauce. The tater salad was just how I like it, good combo of mayo and mustard. The fried cabbage was outstanding, I loved it so much. It was also nice to see something different on the menu. The bbq sauce was very different and pretty good once you get used to it. I also really appreciated that the can sodas were only 85 cents.

Big John’s was a pleasant surprise. When I go to barbq place s for the first time,I usually pick something safe for everyone claims to be good but not. Just being honest. Upon entering I was greeted by to young gentleman that was full of life. We engaged in the convo about barbq after I ordered my safe bet wings. I told them that I was going to get the ribs but had some bad experience at other places serving what I call pork jerky. One of the guys said you cheated yourself and asked for a sample rib from the kitchen. To some things up the rib was good!It was a baby back that was very tender and seasoned right. There was no sauce masking the barbq and wouldn’t recommend using. I received my order in less than 5 and was ready to get home to sample what I purchased. I wasn’t a mile away before my hand was in the box pulling out a wing lol. When I tell you that these wings were so good that I could have finished them before making it home to finish the sides.I avoided that temptation and finished the complete meal at home.My choice of sides were baked beans and Mac and cheese. Both of these sides were made with love meaning homemade. To sum up my visit this place gets the thump up and a must visit.The wings are some of the best I’ve had. The rib was good,the sides were good,and the sticky buns cinnamon bun was good. Cant wait for the next visit to pick up some of those ribs.Thanks
