Wandering around NYC on our first day, we started looking for a place to eat that was “near” Times square that had gluten free options. Little Beet is a chain that has several different locations across New York. This particular location was pretty small with very limited seating. The menu is on a screen that is changing which makes it a bit challenging to decide what to get. The menu also states that their entire menu is gluten free. My partner chose the falafel bowl and I chose the brussel sprouts bowl. The person building my bowl asked me if I wanted to leave off the cheese and I thanked him for asking as I am also dairy free. As my bowl was passed along, I mentioned to the next person to please leave off the cheese and she informed me that the brussel sprouts salad already had cheese mixed in. My partner offered to switch bowls with me, so I ended up eating the falafel bowl and he thought I got the better deal. The falafel itself was really delicious, but combined with the sauce and the guacamole, it was to die for. I will be thinking about that bowl for months to come. The brussel sprout bowl was fine, but just wasn’t a star like the falafel bowl. We considered going back just to get another falafel bowl but didn’t end up having a chance. Highly recommend!

“Chipotle style” restaurant. Staff was friendly and it was quick to get food. Served in a Togo container. I really enjoyed the tofu and the and beans, quinoa was good. I would skip the rice noodles next time. Just didn’t care for them.

The food tastes great! Hence the third star but the experience isn’t that good. Stopped by to pick up a to go order at 7.30pm. Staff was already breaking things down. Store closes at 9pm. Chose a Poleo bowl. Was told to wait for salmon for 5-7 minutes, all good. Picked it up and went home. Opened the box and saw charcoal instead of sweet potatoes and no sesame crusted avocado. Thankfully, at least regular avocado was there. Will give it a second try someday. Probably caught them on the off day.

I love it here! The food is so yummy and healthy! I love all the healthy options here. The sweet potatoes and avocado is a favorite. I so look forward to going here (and do quite often!) This new location is great. The staff is amazing and I love that you can take it to go and dine al fresco in the park.

My first time coming here and they were very kind and helpful. I went with my kids and a worker named Carlos help me with some suggestions for my kids since they are very picky eaters. He was very patient and friendly. My kids enjoyed it very much and looks forward to going back again. I would highly recommend the one located on 40th street and 6 ave.

Ordered takeout via Seamless from here one evening, about half an hour before they closed. This was a mistake. I went with the ‘make your own’ and did half basmati rice/half field greens with charred broccoli, roasted rainbow carrots, roasted chicken, and beet falafel. Shortly after I placed my order, they called to say they ran out of the beet falafel. Fine. I ask them to just deduct the extra amount I paid for the beet falafel and they said okay. Two minutes later, they call back and said that they can’t offer a refund and I would have to call Seamless to do it. Sounds like a lie but ok, fine. I’m not going to go through all that trouble so I just pick a different protein that they do have, which was sweet and spicy tofu. The order arrives on time but everything is kind of just cold and soggy. The chicken was dry, and all the veggies tasted like they’ve been under a heat lamp all day. The only thing that was actually good was the basmati rice, since it’s flavored with some herbs. They give large portions but it was probably because they were closing and were trying to get rid of things anyway. Plus, it doesn’t matter how big the portions are if the food isn’t good. My fiance created his own bowl too, but with salmon, which was also dry AF. Some sauce would surely have helped, which we ordered several sides of, but they forgot to throw it in the bag.
