I visited st. James for a personal matter and I had stopped by this restaurant to eat and I have to tell ya’ll… it is indeed the best Mexican food you can try! Good service!! Good food!! Better price!! If I ever come back no doubt about it I would know where to eat. Try the FAJITA MIXED.

This was actually better than expected, considering I just picked a random place off the highway. Bonus – the main street it’s on is pretty cute, and there are two picnic tables outside the restaurant. This is actually one of the more authentic tasting mexican restaurants I’ve eaten at outside of CA. I got 3 tacos for lunch, think I should have gotten 4 due to size. The main reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the employees were not wearing masks (during covid), which I feel is important when handling food and talking with patrons all day long.

Paid 20$ for two tiny tacos at their food truck at island park. They ran out of all their sides but still decided to charge us full price after waiting in line 30+ minutes. The tiny tacos were decent but after hearing good things about lupes this was disappointing.

There were four of us who bought a dozen tacos to share between four of us. Four tacos each of steak, carnitas, and grilled chicken in soft shells. All four of us agree that the tacos were authentic and pretty amazing! We will be back soon!
