Delicious! Let me preface my review with I just moved back to the Massachusetts area after living in Georgia so you can imagine I’ve had some soul food!! This food here? Better than all that! It’s delicious, flavors on point, great portions, but most importantly to me it’s clean. It is not greasy. I ordered several pans of food to feed friends and we had so much food left over. I highly recommend! Again a big thank you to the owners for representing black businesses so well.

I finally tried this place for the first time after hearing about it for forever. IT’S SO GOOD. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and a great portion. I got the homestyle plate with the delicious dark meat, with a nice sized drum stick and thigh. I got the large size which comes with 2 sides, I went with the mac and cheese and collard greens. However, it also comes with cornbread and rice and the rice is AWESOME. It’s so flavorful and was cooked well – not too mushy, not too hard. If you’re balling on a budget and can only get the basic plate with the rice your tummy still be happy for sure.

I just went here. OMG! This was just what I needed. I’ve been craving soul food for a while, so when I was researching restaurants in the area, I was very excited and surprised. Arrived and order the medium meal (ver filling for 1). The gentleman at the register was very nice and gave me information on the food/restaurant/city. It’s a family owned restaurant and I love that. They also have beef ribs, so I will definitely make my way back another time, but this fried chicken/mac & cheese/collads/cornbread was DeLiCiOuS!

Best soul food I’ve had since moving from the South. Fried chicken is always cooked perfectly, Mac and cheese has great texture, and their corn bread is to die for.

I had food delivered to my home from here and it was AMAZING. All the items on my large homestyle plate were delicious but the chicken was my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly as it was flavorful without being too greasy or too dry. The prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. You will definitely be satisfied whether delivery or sit in.

Got the fried chicken rice and collard greens!! Everything was tasty. My girlfriend had the beef rib and that too was tender. Side note the corn bread was fresh and that too full of flavor. They take care in there craft here!

Is this place open for regular orders? Or just catering etc? I have tried several times/days in the past 7 weeks to get a hold of the place. The voicemail often says they’re closed for the day and any other time the phone just rings. If hours and information can be updated, that’d be great.

We wanted to give more stars, but just disappointed with the lack of parking space close to the bldg., the sides portions, lack of dessert availability @ 5pm, etc. The fried chicken wings were good. Skip the mac & cheese, collards, & corn bread.

If you want to go to this place you gotta really plan it because it’s a very slow moving operation. Like forever. But the food is so worth it. Can’t wait to go back.
