I love this place my whole family loves it. We have been coming here 18 years. It’s not fancy but it’s good food and it’s consistently good. Don’t let these yuppies steer you away from this fantastic place. Might I recommend the Walnut Shrimp. My brother always gets duck. I like the sesame chicken as well. Trust me Golden has a lack of good affordable food but this place is a diamond in the rough.

Our car broke down in Golden and we wandered into this place. We were pleasantly surprised with delicious home cooked food and wonderful service. We could tell the egg rolls were home made, with fresh tasting cabbage and big crispy rolls. Also the sweet women who worked there treated us so well. They hand wrapped my mu shoo rolls and insisted on giving us extra rice with our leftovers. Even though the place doesn’t look the nicest, we would highly recommend the food and service.

This is the best Chinese place ever! We come back from Maryland often to visit family in Colorado and it is our tradition to eat at Golden City! This trip we were able to make it out there twice. Love their food, it has a perfect flavor, texture and temperature! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great locally owned Chinese restaurant.

We travel a long way to get food here. It is always fresh and the ladies that work here are so nice. It has great hot and sour soup, handmade egg rolls and handmade wontons. I really enjoy the spicy garlic chicken. The price is on the low side.

I have been ordering Golden City Chinese food since I was a little girl the food is great, however recently I went there to dine in with my friends from Texas the waitresses were extremely rude. They sat there and gave us dirty looks the whole time. I have never had such an uncomfortable experience. I told one of them I was pregnant and she asked if I was having triplets. She made me feel fat. I couldn’t even eat my food. She made me feel bad about myself. I wont be going there which is too bad because I have been a customer over 10 years.

Inexpensive, FAST, filling, and delicious. My friends and I go here all of the time, and we are always happy with the food. Even better than the food though is the speed at which they bring it to you. We’ve clocked the time on average at 90 seconds and your soup is at your table, and 3 more minutes and your food is there.

I’ve been ordering Golden Chinese for about 6 months now and I get it about once a week, I’ve never experienced any rudeness from any of the staff. The food is always warm and very good. I love the Egg Rolls and the Chicken Lo Mein. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends, family and co-workers!

If you like super “refined dining” and the new hoppin joint… This place probably isn’t for you. It is a bridge between authentic Chinese food from a mid range restaurant and the hole in the wall you might find on Federal. You want it authentic but you also want to know that it is safe and clean. That is this place. I’ve been going here since I was 16, and it is always my go to for sesame chicken and wanton soup!
