I ended up eating here as business brought me to Scott City. While there are not a ton of options in town, if you’re a fan of greasy spoon dinners, The Grill House is for you. Food is priced very reasonably and everything I’ve ordered has been made to order and as good as anywhere else. The atmosphere is a little lacking, but it has that charm that only little dinner type restaurants have; So if you’re hoping for ambiance, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for some hash browns and pancakes or a hamburger at 6pm after work, you can’t go wrong.

Waited a hour and a half to get food(there was 3 other people there) and when it did come out the forgot the shrimp and green beans for the grill house special. Then, the steak I ordered was supposed to me medium well and came out well done, the server then says “we get that a lot.” So why haven’t you talked to the chef or whoever is back there and asked why he’s cooking food wrong so often. $33 for trash, unbelievable.

We went here to celebrate our engagement because the previous reviews showed they had steaks, and boy do they have steaks. We each got a 10 oz ribeye; they were delicious! Seriously, best steaks we’ve had in a long time. I was super impressed since the place doesn’t look like much. They have great food and service though!

Always great customer service, and the food is DELICIOUS! For breakfast, the chorizo potato burrito is out of this world! Get some of the green salsa, too. Thank me later! Also very reasonable prices. Breakfast for 4 adults and 1 child was less than $40 after the tip!

Food was delicious! Breakfast served all day. Service was outstanding! I ordered hot tea. Our waiter came back to ask if I’d like honey. He also refilled my teapot. Other drinks were kept full. Prices were more than reasonable. Hope I get the opportunity to eat here again!!

Excellent food, had all meat omelette that had chorizo sausage in it, what a wonderful addition to an omelette. Great food and the wait staff was terrific. When we’re back through this area we will definitely stop. We are so full we are done eating for the day.

The food I must say, was really good, came out hot and fresh and mostly unseasoned so you could put as little or as much salt and pepper you wanted. However I have to warn you this is not a “quick bite” restaurant. Went in two different times, first time wasn’t busy at all and it took so long to get our food and the second time was a little busier but not crazy since most people already had their food by the time we ordered, but it still took quite a while, I assume they make everything from scratch, or hope. So be warned that you’ll be here for a while regardless, otherwise the service was decent (poor server was the only server) and the food delicious and fresh.
