My boys and I often eat here. They graciously allow us to to do homework. It feels like sitting at the dining room table of a cherished family member. This is place has a great menu and incredible service. This place burnt down at one point. From the ashes they have built a cornerstone establishment in this community where family dining establishments often falter. My only complaint is that the are sometimes without seating, it seems word is out that this is the best place in North Idaho to eat.

We were so excited to take some friends here but it was one of the most awkward experiences. We had one older handicapped person in our group of four who’s wife works tirelessly to take care of him, one Afghanistan Vet and one Iraq Vet. We ate, it was good. They never refilled our drinks or asked if we needed anything. They brought us our bill we paid right away. My friend was going to order a 2nd beer and thought maybe they would refill our ice tea just as the owner came out and started clearing away the silverware and asked if we could hurry up and leave because he needed the table for people waiting outside, even though other folks had been there longer and he had several other open tables! Unbelievable. Apparently he is in escrow and is selling the building to someone who does “gourmet” and charges 150.00 per plate. Worst experience in a long time. I feel sorry for the way that town is heading…too busy

Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff! We’d called in and were told there was plenty of room. When we arrived an hour later they had had a rush. But they did their best and got us a table. It was a fantastic way to end a busy day!

The best! The smoked prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights is a revelation. Absolutely delicious and tender with the added bonus of the smoky flavor. The chef/owner smokes the prime rib and the pork ribs on premises. He and his wife run the place themselves and are the nicest people. I highly recommend the Saddle Up.

Staff was amazing. Food was way over priced for its quality. The bread was microwaved and the stake had no flavor, The Philly cheese steak was dry and crunchy, and the ribs had gracious amount of BBQ sauce but had barely any flavor despite the amount of sauce
