Great staff and incredible sandwiches. Fried bologna and beef are excellent, but I haven’t had a bad one yet. Have had a couple soups and they were outstanding — clearly house made. Great value, great food, great staff. Can’t ask for much more in a local food spot.

This is my go to deli in the area. The food is great and good quality. The staff are friendly, with great attitude, and always have wonderful suggestions for ideal ways to customize your sandwich to really get the most out of your meal.

The owner seems friendly but I did not appreciate her not wearing a mask during a pandemic because it makes her “claustrophobic” and making other customers feel uncomfortable. Im sorry but I won’t be going there again, I care about mine and my loved ones health.

Had a 10″ #1 (Italian sub). Bread and dressing was good (probably the most defining characteristics of any deli). My girlfriend had a 6″ turkey sub and and half kale salad (which is an awesome deal). The kale salad was real good but her sub had the most awful bacon I’ve ever seen. The fat wasn’t rendered at all, it was congealed and tough like gristle from a steak. The bacon itself (the meat) was tough, it had the look and bite of a dog chew. No reason at all this should be in the kitchen at all.

Excited about their new Bloomingdale location (where the firehouse sub was). My family and I pass by daily and I finally stopped in for lunch. First off, without knowing their Elmhurst location or their name, I thought it was a THIN authentic tranditional Italian pizza place (with pieces of mozzarella circles), to replace the once good MOD pizza my family and I use to good to. I was excited to see there was more than just pizza. Sad that they ran out of paper menus, but their menu is pretty straight forward, hot/cold sandwiches, soup of the day, and square pan pizza. I decided to taste their simple ham and cheese sandwich (6″ hot) which I added turkey to it and it was still reasonable at $7.89. When the sandwich was brought over to my table, first impression; it was Small, but looked good. Nice crunchy bread and great tasting. The meal was almost filling with the chips and drink I purchased with it. Disappointed that they didnt have a meal deal. The chips and drink were expensive, fountain drink for $2.39 and kettle brand 1.5oz bag for $1.99, so out the door, sandwich, chips and a drink for $13.20 is a bit high for a lunch meal when its typically around $10 at other sandwich shops with bigger sandwiches. I really, really hope Bologna sticks around at this new location with all these sandwich shops around, but with much more choices, I think they will. I’m looking forward to swing by again and try their pizza and meatball sandwich.

Love this new place! It’s the closest to Mr. Submarine I’ve ever had. Service is wonderful and it always tastes so fresh! Great addition to the neighborhood.
