Was recommended this restaurant by a fellow tourist to Door County. While the food was delicious and the restaurant clean and appealing, we were not met by a server until 10 minutes into being seated. It took another 15 minutes to get water delivered, another 20 minutes for our server to realize she never submitted our order. And then another 20 minutes to receive our food. Our server was short, seemingly unapologetic, and offered a cookie as consolation, yet never tried to improve her hospitality, on outward concern.

Google review gave this place a 4.7 out of 5 and the menu looked fantastic, so we gave it a try. Took over 10 minutes before we saw a waitress, and another hour before we received our food. They seemed to be short staffed, but not once did the waitress apologize for the delay. Only after my husband complained, did there seem to be any urgency in getting our food out to us. With all that being said, the food was wonderful (my salad looked like a piece of art), the atmosphere was delightful, and the restaurant itself was very inviting. It’s too bad the wait, took away from our overall experience.

To be honest, we were starving when we arrived. We were seated rather quickly. Order was taken in a timely manner. The food took longer than I expected. I said something and was immediately greeted by the manager Sue. Sue was very polite and personable. Jane the host explained how intricately the food is presented. She also explained how high the standards are there and how everything has to be perfect. I have to say, what an amazing lunch today. We will definitely be returning here next time we are in town. Thank you Sue and Jane. You came through and exceeded any expectations we could have possibly dreamed up. We were blown away with all the delicious flavors that the food had.

A good meal can be surprisingly hard to find in Door Cty., so after a morning of hiking at Whitefish Dunes and Cave Point, how wonderful to find this cute spot that not only met, but exceeded expectations. I was floored to see that the soup special was Brazilian mocqueca- and it was first-rate. Lovely mild fish, chunks of tomato, cilantro, coconut milk, and the requisite dendè palm oil. I had a cup but easily could’ve eaten a bowl! Next was the grilled cauliflower steak on toasted sourdough with romesco sauce, and it was delicious as well. Very impressed by the number of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Just wish I lived closer!
