Tilapia enchiladas were delicious and rotisserie chicken tacos were okay. Side beans could use some more flavor. About $10 per entree and big portions, good deal. Service was friendly and quick – we dined in on a slow Sunday afternoon. Will be coming again.

Who would have known that you could get great Mexican food at a little take out spot in downtown Arbutus? Tired of the same old pizza and subs, we actually went for a sit down meal. While it feels very much like a take out spot, we had great table service and the food was amazingly fresh. If you like chicken, they offer rotisserie chicken and chicken breast options. Go for the chicken breast! Also, sopes are a nice change of pace! Bottled sodas only but you can get Mexican Coke!

Sauce for the pork tamales was really very tasty and well seasoned. Rice and black bean sides well made. Pork cubes filling nicely cooked. Good air flow ventilation, cool. Unisex restroom very clean, tidy, well-lit. Well worth the meal. Congrats

What a let down !! To say that I was disappointed by this place is an understatement but I’m giving it two stars for a reason. the customer service was great , when I received my order I was so excited to try what I was hoping would be some great food. I ordered some soft and hard tacos (for the kiddos) a chicken and shrimp quesadilla and birria. The kids loved the tacos but that’s hard to screw up , the shrimp and chicken quesadilla was delicious and then came the birria… I tried birria for the first time two weeks ago out in a restaurant in the Aberdeen/Belcamp area place called plaza mexico , the birria there was delicious the consommé was otherworldly best depth of flavor I’ve ever tasted. But the BIRRIA I just ate from Sylvester’s has to be the worst !!! The tacos barely had any cheese in them and the consommé omg what even was that. It was a greasy , oily, flavor container of nothing. When I dipped the taco in and took a bite I audibly sighed I instantly wished I could get a refund just for the damn birria . Did you guys even try to add salt ? Maybe a little Sazon ? Because I literally could have dipped those tacos in water and gotten the same effect.

It’s nice to see the diverse food selections in Arbutus. This my first time getting carry out here. It was pretty good. I got chicken/shrimp fajitas. However, the chicken shrimp ratio to tortillas and condiments could have been better. They give you 3 tortillas and a very small spoon full of guacamole and sour cream. I ended up using my own sour cream and putting the lettuce and black beans on the rice and chicken and eating it with a fork. Price was reasonable. Overall, decent food.

Who doesn’t appreciate a successful family run restaurants. I especially respect the to-order meal prep. I have tried just about everything on the menu. One of these days I’ll leave room for a funnel cake. We recently moved and now go out of our way for our Tex Mex cravings.

Great small dine in or take out spot. Consistently open until 9pm (close time) & never upset about a order 5min before close. Great deal on tuesdays for chicken, beef or pork tacos – $1.25ea! Definitely super value but more importantly… delicious! Only thing to add would be a spicier sauce option for on the side. Keep it up, you all rock!

I got their party nachos for $17 (+ $2.50 for tax and convenience fee) and I’d say it is worth the money! Everything looked fresh, tasted great, and it was a lot. It would’ve been even better if they added jalapenos, but overall, great nachos, and I will come back for more nachos and other food!
