Edit: The new bartender Genysis is amazing. Attentive, fast service, she even made a drink to order and did it well. The food is still great, the owners are nice. Go earlier in the day for awesome service and food. The tacos are mind-blowing. Nice little patio. Usually super busy at night. Definitely worth popping by. My wife loves the calamari.

This is a loud bar. For local pub grub it is an excellent choice. I got a wrap, which was both tastier than I anticipated and reasonably priced. I don’t drink much, so going in a place with the name “bar” isn’t always my thing. Bar 17 is a place where drinker and non-drinker should both be happy. If you don’t like loud music this is not your scene.

Not sure where to start! A steak philliy with steak medallions ,who does that. KILLER sandwich,the Wexler burger… awesome cooked perfectly. I got a side of sweet potato fries, crispy with a touch of brown sugar on top.The beer menu is good size. The mixed drinks spot on. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, yet a touch of class. Michelle and Genesis were top notch. Go give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

We really enjoyed our time at Bar 17 (the old Wexlers bar). The energy was amazing, music wasn’t too loud, lots of parking, totally updated, super clean, and the bar tender, Jennifer, made us feel at home. We had the bar 17 burger, hot chicken wrap, and garlic fries. Our food was hot and tasted great. 10/10 highly recommended Bar 17.

Mike the chef is amazing. His food is always on point and delicious. A must visit Bar in the heart of Old Brooklyn if nothing more than to have a quick lunch. The newly remodeled bar is a great addition to the neighborhood. Friendly barmaids and owners.
