The one and only Japanese Yakiniku in SF, me and my friend had a really good dinner last Sunday night. We ordered Shodai sets, the price is a little bit high but definitely worth it!!! Also all the employees are very nice and friendly. If anyone wants to try the real Yakiniku, must come to Shodai to give it a try!!

Great Japanese bbq places worth the value. I’m a wagyu lover and the dishes here completely feed me with joy. Their meat are top quality, the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is near the street so probably finding parking space is not straightforward. We ended up parked in a apartment building across the street.

A true 5-star restaurant, especially for y’all meat lovers out there. Delicate and delicious cuts of various wagyu from US, Japan, Australia. The flavors and presentation were amazing, never had a curated meat meal so this was a first. Was still hungry after the lesser of the prix fixe menu, ordered prawns and then scallops. Both excellent and flavored so well.

Food was great, easily 5/5. The vibe is really what makes the place stand out, though. Great team that does a good job of bringing the whole restaurant together and creating a unique dining experience that is hard to find in the Bay Area. Highly recommend and would come back.

Amazing food and excellent service. Our personal chef for the night, Deejea, cooked every course to perfection and was super kind and thoughtful, and provided great conversation. Our server, Eva, was also wonderful and fantastic. Would definitely go again!
