Stickball Special

Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

If I could give them no stars I would. Went there last Sunday to eat and left without even ordering. The girl at the counter scratched her nose and adjusted her hair with gloves on. I asked her to change them before she prepared our food. She argued and said she didn’t touch her face or hat. I said yes she did. She got mad and threw her gloves on the floor and said there are you happy now? She started laughing. We left. She was the ruddest girl on the planet. I’m sorry but I don’t want your nose germs on my sub!

Todays I stopped at machesney park for the first time , I order 3 subs a mini club sub and 2 number 7’s, I asked for one of the number 7 to not be mikes way, I made sure to tell the perosn taking my order no vinger, as the man is making the order, I then tell him again no vinegar and he said “ I already put it “ I can tell by his response he wasn’t going to be fixing it so I didn’t ask for a new one . Instead of offering to remake it his solution was “ just don’t tell her it’s in it “

I’ve only been here a few times but the staff are so fun and friendly. The sandwiches and brownies are my favorite! Unfortunately, sometimes when I ask for my sub without ham, I don’t receive any bacon. I understand some people don’t eat pork, but there are some people who just don’t like ham. Otherwise, amazing shop, amazing food!

Had a coupon which needed a managers help to ring up. He was very rude and demeaning to the employee for not knowing how to properly use the system. The worker was basically in tears as he was yelling at him and told him to take their break. Won’t be going back to this location.
