I ordered takeout from Johnny’s in Douglas a few days ago and the pizza was a mess. About one-quarter of the pizza had the cheese on the other part of the pizza. I don’t know what happened but most likely it looks like when the pizza came out of the oven the pizza box was at an angle and the cheese just gradually moved to one side of the pie. You can see in the picture I’ll post as to what I’m talking about. I do not expect this level of carelessness from Johnny’s especially when you’re paying nearly $25 a Pizza. I’ve had nothing but positive experience when dining in, but this is the second time I’ve had take out here where the pizza has been less than desirable. I highly recommend you check your pie before walking out because I didn’t check mine until I got home and we just dealt with it and it wasn’t good.

The bad news first…There was a great deal of what appeared to be unnecessary foot traffic in the kitchen area. They were not dressed in employee attire. This didn’t seem very sanitary to us. With that out of the way, time for the good.

I working in Douglas area on my way there I passed Johnny’s ny pizza. Wanted wings. Stopped at store on corner before went to my hotel. Asked the attendant, good place to eat, to go. She said Johnny’s or a Danny’s. So I ordered from my super 8 hotel from Johnny’s. Wings and medium cheese pizza.( Being from northern NY) I been aching for a good pizza for 4 years since been home/ good wings. Pizza was ok! Make a lot thinner and more crispy! you will nail it. Wings were dry, cooked way too much. I don’t mind what price is as long as good !!

Ordered a pepperoni pizza, one veggie. A kids spaghetti. For $81 due to waiter being able to put their own tip in. The manager explained that if there are 6 or more ppl at a table the waiter decides what gratuity to apply. Therefore our waiter decided to ignore us and disappear for 10 min at a time and rack in the $12 tip she didnt have to earn will not return to this location due to the blaitant disrespect. The table even spoke of her tip decreasing due to the disappearing acts, but then we didnt even have that option. Terrible management.

I ordered the Johnny’s special sub and fries which was prepared very quickly. This is a warm sub with thick cut ham, salami and capicolla with lettuce tomato onions and provolone the cheese was nice and melted. The bread was soft with a little bit of a crunch on the outside. Very tasty. This is a full sub with a lot of fries so bring your appetite. Looking forward to my future visits to this place to try their other menu items.
