Not a bad local joint. The food is pretty good and portions are a good size. Definitely recommend eating in as takout tends to be a bit dry. It is a bit pricey here, but they do offer live entertainment which adds value.

Couldn’t order food because we never got menu’s but based on the drinks I’m pretty sure we would have been disappointed. I’ve been to several Mexacalis in Mass and this one was not at the same level we are accustomed to. The presidenta margarita was terrible and I know my margaritas. It seemed like she maybe didn’t know how to make one. Didn’t put salt on the rim too seemed to miss some ingredients. Won’t bother going back. Too many other good options available

Kind of what you want in a Mexican family-style restaurant, no glitz, the table needs a shim so it doesn’t rock, etc. But it is clean, the food is tasty, the selection is ample, the server was authentically welcoming and food was delivered hot and quickly. I met my son for lunch here, it is an hour drive so, trust me, I would be critical if it wasn’t satisfactory.

The wait staff was professional and attentive, food was good enough to almost lick my plate before my girlfriend reminded me we were in public. I was about finish this review before she had shown me the dessert menu (pictures included). Only complaint, If you sit out by the front windows during the winter months it can be a little chilly. See pictures of our entrees for the evening, enchiladas trio, the enchiladas rojas(not shown), and of course the apple cinnamon dessert burrito. We will be coming back

I will admit, I have a bit of a soft spot in my heart for these people. They do a lot for the community, and I like to give my money to those types of businesses. As far as the food goes, it’s okay. Nothing is bad, it’s just all ok. I’ve eaten a lot of their menu, and never been unhappy with a dish, but by no means is it a go-to place for a great meal. The service is always pleasant, and I enjoy the people. They have a pretty solid bar. It’s very family friendly, and I think that this Mexicali is probably the best example of what they do. I would recommend it for those in the area, but it’s certainly not a destination restaurant.
