Every time we come back to Minneapolis to visit family, Old Piper Inn is a must stop. The staff is always so friendly, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the hot roast beef sandwich. They also make their corned beef in house, so their Reuben is phenomenal. Restaurant and bathrooms are very clean.

Been here a few times. Food is good. This time we ordered the “hot Italian sandwich and “the Piper” burger. Both were good. Prices are a bit expensive… lastly if you are a pulltab player like us BE AWARE… I don’t think pulltabs are affiliated with the bar itself as it is separate, but I will say there is definitely some funny business going on between the pull tab sellers and some of the players that show up… we have observed this the past two times we have come to this place.

We hadn’t been here for years, since they rebuilt after the fire. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of foods. Cheese curds were yummy. We recommend getting them with ranch. It was better than with the marinara it comes with. My husband ordered the piper burger. The burger was juicy and the three layer bun was not soggy or greasy. He said it was good. We also got a pizza. Flavor was spot on. Crust was soft and flaky with just a bit of crunch. Pizza was very cheesy and creamy. Slightly Minnesota zippy. My brother in law is from Texas. He would have said it’s not spicy at all. But I thought it had a good flavor. We would come here again.

Ole Piper is one of our favorites places to go out to eat! They serve breakfast all day and it is always delicious. I usually go for the Cowboy omelet, which has sausage, cheese, and hash browns inside and is covered with sausage gravy. I typically get it with a side of cheesy hash browns, but they have yummy pancakes too. One of my other favorite things to order here is the chicken bacon ranch wrap. It is so great with the crispy chicken, but it’s still pretty tasty if you get it with grilled chicken for a slightly healthier option. They have really good fries, but I usually get the tater tots or waffle fries instead. Be sure to ask for a side of their seasoned sour cream! They also make a very good Bloody Mary with infused pickle or habenaro vodkas available.

My husband and I came here on Sunday July 16th, 2023, I haven’t been here in forever, we had the potstickers, and the country fried steak I believe it’s called? I did include several pictures , one side of the menu, I didn’t have time to take pictures of the other side of the menu. But I did take a picture , one of which was the bill so you can see what it is correctly called. It was kind of busy, which was great, for them! We were served quickly, the food was hot, it was excellent tasting, we will definitely be back here again! It looks like they got a whole new crowd of waitresses and serving staff!

They did a piss poor job of explaining the menu or informing of unavailable alternatives (Dietary reasons) even though they wrote it down and I’ve ordered it many times in the past. They did not bother saying anything until I had to send the food back. Then, instead of the staff coming to me personally to see what the mix up was , they were rude and openly talked trash in the kitchen well within earshot of our table.

Fun and lively atmosphere. The pizza is pretty good, and they have great service. I’ve never had problems finding parking here, but the lot is always near full on a Friday night. Good place for friends and families.
