Great neighborhood spot for consistently good food. My only note on the cafe is that the serving sizes of some of their sides is a little tight, particularly their french fries. That said the food is really good. The shoe string fried onion rings are top notch. It’s worth a visit just to have them. I want to try the fried pickles but each visit they have been out of them.

My Fiance and I visited for lunch around 2pm. It wasn’t busy at all, which for us was nice. The food was wonderful and the waitress was very nice, as was the cook! Also, while we were there the music was great (mostly classic rock played but I believe it depends on who’s working what will be playing, and there’s also a neat jukebox.) I will be recommending The Dead Cow Saloon to friends and family for sure. And we will most definitely be back!

Amazing in every aspect!! Our server OUTSTANDING!!! I ordered gizzards and Paisley had fried pickles as appetizers… we loved our choices! I ordered the rack of ribs with a double order of fries….YUM YUM YUM!!! $20?! YES PLEASE! My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich w okra… he was in Heaven! Paisley ordered the special, mushroom and Swiss burger with mac and cheese w BACON…better than homemade! Jakiebooboo ordered the bacon cheeseburger w the onion straws… loved every bit of it! The straw fries took his breath away :’) we also got 2 t-shirts… it’s an awesome place!!

Great tasting barbecue, but they need to use the next size larger bun and fill the empty space in the plate with the larger sandwich and more fries. Incremental flood cost would be minimal and would make customers come away thinking how great the food was instead of how small the portions were. It’s a bar restaurant. People expect to be fed!

Small spot on Historic Route 66 in Carterville, Mo. Been open just under a year. Great burgers and fries. Staff is very helpful and energetic. Heard the brisket nachos were good and will try them next time. If you are driving near Joplin stop on by. Open Tuesday-Sundays.
