Had to wait for about 30 minutes before we got seated. Sat at the bar and had a drink before we got to our table. The wait was worth it. I got the Tomato Basil Cream and my fiance got the Stuffed Ravioli. Both were excellent. The wait staff was great, checked in on us multiple times. We ended with the Tiramisu which was also amazing. We will be back.

The food was decent. Can’t complain. Really bad service, mainly from the hostess. We initially sat outside on the patio. Within a few minutes of getting an appetizer, the table was swarmed by wasps. They were in our drinks, food, etc. It took about 15 minutes of our 5 year old being terrified before a waitress (who wasn’t even ours, I think we saw our waiter twice) asked if we wanted to be seated inside. As she sat us, the hostess came by and asked what happened. When we explained, her exact words were “We can’t help that” and walked away, never to be seen again. (Bear in mind, yes, you CAN do something about an insect issue). No attempt at all to apologize, compensate, nothing. This was in addition to the extremely expensive bill. Will not be coming back. This is the only downtown Neenah establishment I’ve been disappointed in.

I have no words. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Our server Matt was awesome. We have lived in Neenah for about a year and exploring the downtown area always yields treasures like Cannova’s. Can’t wait to try their Ravioli and other pasta dishes.

Could have been a nice experience if the hostess was professional. We sat outside on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. As soon as the food came, tons of wasps and hornets started landing on our food and in our drinks. We tolerated it until our 5 year old got scared and started to cry. It went on for about 10 minutes until a kind waitress asked if we wanted to be seated inside. We gladly accepted as most of our drinks were hijacked and the pests were unbearable. We were seated directly inside the back patio door, in a high traffic area with our 3 kids. They brought our food in and a couple of our drinks, no napkins and no water. The kind waitress noticed and asked if we would like fresh waters and some fresh napkins. The hostess came by and asked if “we needed any new drinks”? We stated we would just like a new bottled soda and a mixed drink since we barely touched them due to the wasps. Her response was “well we can’t help that”, and just walked away. So frustrating. Totally unprofessional. And yes, there are plenty of things(natural) you can do as a business to keep pests away from food, but I digress. So $127.00 later, we left and decided we would not be returning. We were looking forward to a beautiful atmosphere and good food after a long work week, but what we got was disappointment. *Credit to the young man who took over on the inside and the young woman who was professional and attentive.

The food here is fantastic and caters to many diets (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) I would highly recommend any one of their pizzas, especially their margherita pizza. We always order take-out because there is not very much dine-in space.

PHENOMENAL!! I am NEVER disappointed with cannovas! I’ve eaten here dozens of times in the past 15 years and I have never had a bad experience! As a new vegetarian they offer many meatless options, which is awesome! Yummy yummy! ALSO very reasonably priced! I got the smallest size pizza and it could have fed another person, and the cookie pizza was enough for even 4 people too share! Staff was kind and helpful!

All I’m going to say is my first time experience was not the best. The food is way over priced. My other half and I got sick afterward. The bread was too doughy and thick. Dessert seemed dry, we tried the Cheesecake. One positive note is the staff, they were respectful.

We came later in the evening, near kitchen close and Josh was extremely accommodating in getting our food in quickly and had our drinks out right after. Instead of rushing us, he made specialty suggestions and made our night. Hats off to him and the kitchen staff as the food hit the spot. Thanks for a great night!
