So delicous. Every time I walk into this place, I am in love with it all over again. The aroma hits me right past the door and my whole body sighs in relief and my heart sings. I love the owners of the place- they are so friendly and if they don’t actually remember me from prior visits, they are amazingly good at making me feel like they do. Their hospitality is amazing.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Syracuse by far. I enjoyed it so much went back the next night with more friends. Laurcki is one of the owners and greets you with a hug. The food is mildly spiced and delicious with fresh hot spices to add as you like. The buffet is always open and has a good variety of food. You can taste the freshness of the food and the spices. I will be returning often

We used to love this place when we lived in Syracuse, Lucky was great and we loved the food. We have been back every time we visit, but this last visit was such a disappointment. I believe it must have changed hands between visits because the food was made totally different (and was terrible), not clean, and not fresh. It even smelled bad when we walked in. It used to be such a warm and welcoming place, but that is all gone and now it’s just another bad Indian buffet.

I like the fact that they used actual spices in their dishes; often Indian restaurants are guilty of using pre-made curry pastes and spice mixes. Their buffet selection is quite large and with seemingly fresh dishes that are put out regularly. I love the customer service and how they’re willing to make you a new batch if it’s too spicy for you.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I have severe dairy allergies (and I’m vegetarian) so I frequently have trouble ordering at restaurants. The staff at Taj Mahal is extremely helpful, understanding, and informative. They told me exactly what was in each dish in the buffet, and even made me special dairy-free versions of dishes without me even asking! Plus the food is delicious! I’ve had a lot of bad Indian buffets but the buffet here is easily the best I’ve ever had. Anytime I come through Syracuse I make a special trip here!

Wonderful Indian cuisine, customer service was amazing!, Tomatoe soup was delicious. We had samosas for an appitizer, very good. 2 people in our party had the dinner buffet, which they enjoyed for the choices.

I have eaten at many of the best restaurants in the USA and am very critical of food. This place is terrific. If you get food from the menu, I.E. not the buffet, you will experience authentic quality indian cooking. Considering this is an inexpensive restaurant on Erie boulevard, you could not ask for more.

We were amazed with fantastic authentic Indian buffet on our way from Niagara. We are world travelers and eat in many major cities and countries, but this restaurant is one of the best. The service is unbelievable, they are so caring bringing fresh food catered for individual customers even in buffet. We got some orders for our children and they made it fresh and kids loved it.

We visited on Christmas (2016) and had the dinner buffet. Nearly everything was great, and though the service is not as traditional as other restaurants, they will get you anything you need or want during your meal (within reason, I assume) if you ask! The butter chicken is the best I’ve had in the U.S. Good naan, too. We had a great meal.
