Killer burger. Had the double. Mushrooms would have been a nice touch but didn’t matter. Wasn’t a raw (rare) burger (of which I’m not really a fan). Was exactly how I want my next one when passing through. And the fried pickles had a nice crispy breading. Wouldn’t have changed a thing. I really wanted to take a stab at the triple. Next time. It brought me out of a bad mood.

We stop at BBQ places alot and this place had great food, not alot of business cause it’s a small town! The owner didn’t have any other customers besides us, so after making our hot delicious fresh burger and homemade fries he sat and talked with us! Great conversation, will definitely visit again!

Very Solid Food! If you are looking for BBQ in Crawford County, this is the place. You can smell Jim smoking meats from your car as you pull in. We came for lunch on probably an unusually slower day. Jim took time to be personable and was very courteous to us from the minute we walked in the door. The food is above average as the Fried Pickles were great and the Burger with Jim’s competition pulled pork was very pleasing. The only critique I have is that I would have liked to see the bun toasted. I love Hero’s support for the local Police. All of you folk that want some BBQ, Hero’s is the place. Not only is the food good, but the service is impeccable. We will be back!

Our first trip and we weren’t disappointed. Taco Tuesday wife had one brisket and one pulled pork Taco with lettuce and tomatoes – scrumptious! I had brisket sandwich with baked beans. Meat was super lean and tasty and beans were perfect. Jim and Tammy have a great thing going and we’ll be back.

Great place to visit for a family style dining restaurant and has delicious bbq foods, salads, burgers along with your traditional foods. They have cold beer and a selection of hard liquor. Hero’s BBQ also had a double bin frozen drink machine with strawberry daiquiri and lime margarita available daily. Bonus is a fenced in beer garden area for outdoor dining or an area for people to play washers, corn hole or a place for the kids to run around while parents are dining outside.
