It was just okay. Was looking for something to compare to my favorite teppanyaki place in San Diego and it just fell short of that. The food was decent tho. The hot sake got me drunk so that’s good lol. Sushi was not it either.

No reservation needed for party of 4; there is ample parking and it’s shared with other businesses; we were accommodated very quickly at 7pm on a Sunday, the cutlery, tables and floor are clean although their plates are chipped; the sauces are clean and filled up; there is a good amount of distance between tables and a few fake plants, which I’m not really a fan of; the place is loud due to their tepanyaki section; this restaurant is also close to other restaurants and cafes; this place is in the wealthy side of town so it attracts that kind of crowd and it also reflects in their menu; they don’t have a lot in the menu, just 2 pages. Food presentation is generally good except for the salmon skin roll which just disintegrated the moment I lifted it.

Easily the worst tepanyaki I’ve ever had. Everybody ordered their steak medium, I ordered mine medium rare, yet for some reason my steak was taken off last and was well done. All the vegetables tasted like burnt oil. The “chef” was seemed bothered that he was working and when I told him I ordered my steak medium rare and not well done he just shrugged and said “my bad”.

We called ahead and made a 7:30pm reservation for Teppanyaki. We arrived early and after waiting about 10 mins we were told that a large party had come in and our reservation was pushed back to 8:00PM. At 8:00PM we were told that it was going to be an even longer wait and that they close at 8:30pm. We left to another restaurant. No one offered any apologizes or anything to make up for the time we wasted by waiting there for our dinner. The service doesn’t even deserve one star. No compensation even offered for our time or apology. We will not be returning here again.

Food is not great. They charge for every little thing, ie, sauce. Scallops were a joke. It was as if they sliced each scallop into 3 pieces. Teriyaki steak was sliced so thin it was overdone immediately. Miso soup had zero flavor.
