Renovated from the ground up this year, we created a fantastic environment with great sounds (Buffet, Marley, Chesney) at a wicked good pound – think Margaritaville in Bar Harbor Maine…take out or sit down, it’s your choice.

I had the hot lobster roll, and my partner had the house special roll. They were both delicious, however at current market price our entire meal of these two rolls, an upgrade to French fries for both of us and 2 blueberry lemonades cost $86 after tax but before tip. You would think that’s a steal, however there was not much lobster on the hot dog bun. Very delicious, and great service and atmosphere and dog friendly, however I feel like you’re better off finding another lobster roll place that gives you more meat.

DELICIOUS food. Relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff. We stopped in for a quick bite but ended up ordering much more than planned. Perfect for kids and adults. Plenty of picnic tables under shaded trees and strung bulb lighting. The kids took turns playing corn hole and ring toss while my husband and I listened to music. Highly recommend Bar Harbor Lobster Pound.

Talk about a high class, clean and very cool lobster spot!! Recently remodeled, this place is beautiful! It’s clean, it’s got activities for kids and for adults, and there’s a very well branded gift shop with a LIVE lobster tank.

Love this place! The atmosphere feels like summer camp under the string lights and pines, with picnic benches and corn hole. It’s a great summer atmosphere! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We got a crab cake burger and lobster salad. Their homemade blueberry lemonade was also delicious. The staff was so friendly. We loved how this place was out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Clean, casual and relaxed. Stroller and wheelchair friendly. Their ice cream boat serves up quality ice cream as well! We will be back!

Amazing! Our meals here (plural!) were the best thing we ate during our trip to Mount Desert Island. HIGHLY recommended. While everything we tried was great, the star of the show is absolutely the lobster tacos. Get those! Simply fantastic and perhaps the most memorable culinary part of our trip to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. The house special lobster roll is also great. Both the house chips and (upgraded) fries are good. Then to finish it off, I’d highly recommend a slice of blueberry pie a la mode from the ice cream boat or an ice cream cone. The atmosphere here is also fantastic. I can’t say enough great stuff about this little place and would highly recommend you check it out.

What a little gem we found. The experience we had when we stopped at Bar Harbor Lobster Pound was fantastic! The entire setup was spot on and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience while there. It’s also great to find a restaurant like this that is so clean. We ordered the Lobster Dinners and wasn’t disappointed. The homemade chips and coleslaw was exceptional and unexpected. Don’t forget the ice cream while visiting

Perfect place to get Lobster in Maine. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is great. They had outdoor seating and they had those fun atmospheric strung lights through the trees, and outdoor games like corn hull and Frisbee golf. They had live music the day we went. There is also some limited interior seating. Also the food was very good. We liked the lobster roll, the clam chowder and the crab burger. We also got fish and chips and they were good, but not like I remember from Australia. We saw a plate of the Lobster Nachos go by and we would definitely try them next time. They let our son hold one of the live lobsters which was really fun. Not sure how well it stands up to other places because we went here twice we liked it so much.

Excellent food off the beaten track! Lobster bisque was thick and creamy, rich with lobster chunks, fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy, even the root beer was perfectly ice cold! The atmosphere reminded us of The Shack in the town of Northport, Long Island. Love it!

Each lobster roll has 4 ounces of lobster meat and has a claw! We tried each of the 3 lobster rolls. The gift shop and indoor dining area are connected. Indoor dining area had 6 tables for 4 people and a table for 5 people. Outdoor dining area has a lot of picnic tables surrounded by a wooded area. There was live music when we were there on Sunday. There is an ice cream boat on the premises! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area!
