My daughter wanted to go here for her 13th birthday. I used Google Reserve to make our reservation – which was super convenient and easy. We were seated on the patio as soon as we arrived. Service was prompt and friendly. The complimentary bread was delicious, as were our entrees. We’ll definitely be back!

100% recommend!!!!!! If you live anywhere near Grass Valley or are passing through you MUST stop & dine here. This is the best Italian restaurant in Nevada county The signs outside of the restaurant may throw you off a bit but this is a truly fine dining experience. My boyfriend & I had our 7 year anniversary here tonight and it was the nicest anniversary dinner we have had in a long time. The staff are the friendliest people I have ever met, they are so kind & accommodating. Every staff member that we met ( a total of 3) made our dining experience that much better. The best part is that besides this restaurant being an old Victorian style house & having authentic Italian ambience… the food will make you melt.

During the pandemic, the restaurant was offering lunch orders to go. I was ordering from here at least once a week. I’ve tried almost everything. I absolutely LOVE the ravioli! All of the sauces are delicious, but I find that the gorgonzola sauce is the most savory. It’s my favorite and I crave it. My fiancé took me out last night and I tried the shrimp ravioli special. I felt like Bill Murray in What About Bob. It was SO good! My fiancé tried the linguine polpette. We loved the dishes so much, we ordered more to-go so we can enjoy the food again today. They packed our to-go order with care and a bag full of fresh garlic bread.

Great food at a reasonable price. I’ll be visiting again. Beautiful old Victorian house, too. I loved the fresh flowers on every table and the tableclothes. This would be the perfect place for a romantic date without breaking the bank. The parking is limited, just arrive early.

I’m not generally an Italian food person. I prefer traditional beef and chicken, but I was part of a group who chose to go here and was I ever surprised. There were 7 of us and we each ordered something different. Everyone was thrilled and remarked over and over how good it was. I chose the scaloppine marsala with chicken and mushrooms. The marsala wine sauce and polenta/roasted veggies were better than dessert to my tastebuds. We will definitely return and highly recommend! Reasonably priced, too, and excellent service.

The food was very good. Almost took me back to when it was called the Villa Venusia. It was always busy. I came in after 8 on a Saturday and was surprised how dead it was. It’s a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. If you’re visiting GV this would be my pick for Italian. There are others that have better reviews but this has a special flavor, at least to me. Didn’t get five stars because they used to make the pasta from scratch, would appear that is not the case anymore but I could be wrong.
