If you ever have an event, I recommend Northwoods! We just had our wedding reception on the patio and it was PERFECT! Service was amazing! They were so sweet and went the extra mile for us. The owners came by to make sure everything was good as well which I thought was very sweet. They are very involved and accommodating at the restaurant. We haven’t been here in about 12 years and not since new owners bought it. Food was really good. Atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. We didn’t sit in the outside area but will next time. We took a short walk out there and it is amazing. We will def be back and especially to check out their bar bingo on Monday nights.

NORTHWOODS FALLS Restaurant located on Rt 41 just South of Rt 30 in St. John, IN is a reputable establishment with Northern charm. It is a sizable restaurant log cabin that can host parties, special occasions or family/friends lunch or dinner. (Upstairs area hosts seating for larger parties.) Had the breakfast buffet Sunday 9am good time to go and get in without wait. It was fresh, hot and everything taste great. Cheesy shreaded potato casserole, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage links, bacon, fruit and a pastry Danish.

We rented the upstairs gathering room for a family Christmas party. It was perfect. They took care of everything for us. We were able to choose what food was served. Santa was in the house. They had the fireplace going for us too. We are thinking of doing this place again next year too.

Had a great time at Northwoods Falls. Went early (about 5:00 PM) on a Saturday night and there were a lot of people there, but no wait. We were there for dinner. Live entertainment was scheduled for later about 8:30PM, which we were aware of but we were not going to stay for that. We sat near the bar and the stage and the large TVs with sports were on and were clearly visible from the bar area and outlining table areas. We ordered from the dinner menu – Pot Roast, Country Fried Steak and Pork Loin Dinner. It came with salad, roll and sides. Drinks were extra but free refills kept coming for soft drinks. My glasses of wine were reasonable at $6.50. Also tried the appetizer Green Fried Tomatoes and dessert Hazelnut Coffee Brownie. All very good. There was one TV announcing the upcoming events which all look fun – live entertainment and trivia night. Will return again. Atmosphere was nice & clean. Staff was nice. Chili was okay, I thought it tasted too close to pot roast. The beef vegetable soup was good. Bluegill was real good, tartar sauce delicious. Fried Meatloaf had too savory of a flavor, almost like Thanksgiving stuffing was mixed into it. The appearance, portions & texture was okay though. I love seasonings this was too much for me. French fries were real good. Next time we will try the burgers or pasta.
