LOVE this place! We stopped here for lunch while we were traveling through. I just wish this restaurant was in my town. First thing you notice is the atmosphere – so quaint and cozy! It reminds me of what I think a cottage in the woods would look like inside. They even have board games you can play! I wish we would have had the time. We noticed at once all of the coffee and tea options along with the dessert cooler. Everything looked DELICIOUS. We are trying to lose some pounds so, not doing desserts, but this place made it EXTREMELY hard to deny the temptation. I mean, Chocolate Red Wine cake!!!! C’mon!!!! I’m still thinking bout it. We each had a sandwich. Hubby had the pasta salad (completely and wonderfully homemade – not pasta with store bought italian dressing dumped on it). I had a side salad with mine with, again, homemade dressing. Our sandwiches were loaded with meat and were very filling and, of course, DELICIOUS. Our iced green tea was awesome too. The service was quick and friendly. They are short staffed but there is a sign stating such so we were more than glad to take our dishes up when we were done. I can’t think of anything I would change about this place. If I lived in Waynesville, I would be here every opportunity I had! Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience! (Sorry I didn’t get a photo of the menu.)

This place cooks from scratch, has comfy couches and games to play, Wi-Fi, and a few local treats. Scones are good. Good for kids as there are dragons throughout, and a relaxed atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s always a nice escape from the local chains. The food has always been good (except a dry muffin once, but I forgive one-offs). But today…they had homemade oatmeal cream pies. It didn’t stay on the plate long. Go get one before I eat them all! We also had the Monte Cristo German pancakes and Cuban Chicken Sunrise, both of which were delicious- just not oatmeal cream pie good .

I was surprised how big the inside area was when I went in. They have outdoor seating also. The location is great cause you can walk to the roubidoux park from there. The coffee was great. They have a great selection of good quality coffees brewed fresh and teas. I got the egg sandwich and it was really good. The pastries were also tasty. I will definitely come here again when I’m in the area.

I had an amazing experience from the GF scones to the Almond milk latte & Avocado toast. This quaint shop was a clean & comfortable environment with good smells, board games & nice people too. I would recommend and definitely return!

This place was far more expensive than I feel it’s worth. I got the Monte Cristo and it was alright. The raspberry compote was just a jar of store bought raspberry jam. Again it was good, just underwhelming. I get it, it’s a coffee shop and it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. The Chai tea latte was good, not overly sweet like most places. Overall, this is a good local restaurant/coffee shop, just a bit expensive for what I feel I got.

Adorable little nook with board games and nick nacks. Comfy seating at tables or arm chairs by the fire place. Amazing pastries and hot food I got the eggs Florentine and it was to die for. coffee is strong and very welcoming. Bring some extra cash for a quick sip on your way. Also hope you like dragons and European flair. Would give it 6/5 stars. 7 if it was open later.

Fantastic – the food tastes better than the presentation and the presentation was the best we’ve had in our travels

I regretfully forgot to take pictures but I had the German pancakes and my husband got the southwest skillet. Both were amazing. With his skillet you could just tell that the produce was fresh and not frozen. It tasted amazing. The fruit salad that came with the breakfast…..so simple yet so delicious. My husband had toast with his breakfast and the bread was so good that he didn’t even out jelly on it (he normally does this at any restaurant like we all usually do)…..but the bread itself was amazing. I am not sure if they make their own bread or not but fantastic!!
