New China Palace has THE BEST Hot and Sour soup in Oak Ridge. Hands down! I’ve tried them all and New China Palace wins! Their other food is excellent as well and their service is great. We always get takeout but their dining room is large, clean and reminiscent of a traditional Chinese restaurant you would see in the states.

This place can really be hit or miss. Some days, the food can be super delicious, and I love their Ma Po tofu. Other dishes seem to be a little skimpy. Shrimp dishes will vary on how many you will get, even ordering the same dish. Crab Rangoon tastes really different than other restaurants – not as sweet. Also, the bathrooms leave much to be desired. Also, I find it weird that they default to serving fried rice with every dish, and they also serve rice with their noodle dishes. This is definitely a first I’ve seen with any Asian restaurant.

Great food with friendly service. It was busy but there was no wait for seating or for service. Food arrived quickly and it was hot and fresh. Great menu selection and even have items for those with an adventurous appetite. Highly recommend.

I shared 4 photos of our meals, 2 of these meals cost $15 to $18, the other 2 was for $25 to $27 they was advertised as family sized and enlarge proportions to feed 2 or more people, i called them and the “manager” or person in charge told us that the little cup of soup and egg roll was worth $10…. Will never give them another penny.. Oh and we spent $215, with tip.
