raveling through the area and stumbled upon this restaurant. We arrived at 815 p.m., and the restaurant closes at 9 pm. We didn’t want to bother the restaurant staff, so we’re were initially rushing to put in our order. However, our waitress was absolutely outstanding and told us not to worry and that we had plenty of time! She was incredibly warm and knowledgeable of the menu as well.

Love Rosemary and Sage- Nancy is wonderful and enjoyable! We love sitting at the bar to eat but the atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. We also love that Nancy offers small plate options.

The restaurant was EXTREMELY accommodating, arranging for our family to eat outside even though they’re not serving outside yet. We have a family member who isn’t comfortable inside because he in immunocompromused and they couldn’t do enough for us…putting 2 heaters on and cleaning off a table that hadn’t been used in months. AND the food was all good and reasonably priced!!!

We ordered dozen oysters for the start . I got the first one and it was BAD!!!! I brought it to the waitresses’s attention. She took it back to the kitchen. They did not take responsibility and did not offer anything for it. I would NEVER!!! Eat here again!!

I wish I could give 0 stars. Horrible customer service. I called and asked if they would be open on Mother’s Day 5/14/23. I was told yes, and booked a table for 10. I was told multiple times to call them if the reservation changed since it was a large table. Three families drove 1 hour & it was closed! Thanks for ruining lunch reservations for 3 Moms on Mother’s Day!

Wonderful dining experience at this hideaway in Old Saybrook. Food was amazing. We had a seafood casserole this time. Every time we’ve been in have had a wonderful meal. Nancy (owner) and waitstaff were so attentive and accommodating. We’ll be back soon!
