The steaks were horrible. Came out almost raw and very fatty, couldn’t chew it. There was a miserable old man at the front that was rude and looked angry and accused me of stealing a wine glass that I left in the bathroom, not good customer service accusing customers of theft. For the price, the steaks weren’t that good. The most flavorful part about it was the char taste from the grill lines. The mashed potatoes were pretty plain, too. I normally don’t give lower ratings, but I believe this permits it.

Service was very good. Steak was pricey, but great. Wine was delicious. It was a bit too crowded for my comfort the night we went, but we were seated right away (they dont take reservations). Overall nice atmosphere too.

My husband called to make us reservations today. The woman who answered the call was so unpleasant that he felt compelled to call me right after. Apparently patrons who’ve never been to The Silver Fox are expected to know the answers to questions that they are asking, “Do you take reservations?” An appropriate response would be, “Sir, we do not. Our service is first come, first served.” The response he got was, “We haven’t taken reservations in 20 years.” As if he knew that… So then he asked, “How busy is it typically for a seating at 7PM?” (inquiring because he didn’t know if we’d have enough time to wait & eat before we had to be somewhere). Based on her response, it was clearly the stupidest question she’s ever heard.
