I regularly eat here between classes, ordering the (pictured) crispy honey chicken with broccoli, with a side of fried rice. In short, it’s good stuff. I’ve had several other dishes as well and they know what they’re doing in bringing authentic Asian cuisine. However, it’s a bit overpriced. Overall, though, good place. GSU students, go in on Tuesdays for a discount!

East Wave is alright. Good for if you’re hungry and have money to spare for a food budget. As a college student, this place is kinda overpriced depending on what you get. I had gotten the lettuce wraps when I was here, but they weren’t worth paying over $10 to bite into small wraps that I could have made at home.

Service was quick and the food is really good, I only have a couple of problems though. First, the menu on their website doesn’t have any prices so I had to call and see what everything would cost as I was ordering over the phone, which I’m not a big fan of. Second, they got part of my order wrong. I wanted the mama egg rolls, but they gave me cheeseburger egg rolls instead. They weren’t bad, just not what I ordered. I’ll probably come back because the food is good and this is one of the few places I have found that has Bahn Mi.

Love this place! I come here all the time and have never been disappointed. Their Samosas are delicious! They also have so many flavors of Fruit Tea and Bubble Tea! If you’re having trouble deciding what to order, the staff is super friendly and ready to help you.

Used to be 5 stars for me but today was a turning point. I used to frequent this place because the food was great and the restaurant was beautiful. I absolutely loved the boba teas. But today I went and ordered my regular meal and they stopped serving boba. They also stopped having the option to omit peas and carrots from the rice (I am allergic to peas) in favor of cooking it bulk and sending it out as quickly as possible. I probably won’t be coming back as a customer but I still do believe their food is good and the atmosphere is very nice so I’ll be sure to show my friends from college this place.

Absolutely love this place and will certainly return here when I’m back in Georgia! The family that runs it is completely delightful! The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is fun and peaceful!! We enjoyed the bulgoghi beef, the baohs, the pot stickers and the incredible cheese burger egg rolls!! Whether you live here or you’re here on travel make this a destination for lunch or an early dinner!

Vegan Friendly Review: I have gone to lunch at East Wave Asian Fusion several times with co-workers and solo. I have gotten the Garlic Tofu and Broccoli w/brown rice every time and it has been consistently flavorful and a ton of food for $7 and some change. The employees are always upbeat and work efficiently even when Georgia State is in session when the lunch crowd becomes hectic. East Wave Asian is a wonderful choice in downtown Atlanta as a lovely Asian fusion choice!

I’ve only had one of the entrees there (crispy honey chicken I think), but honestly it’s really good. I just usually go there for the tea and I just keep coming back. The staff is really great, and it’s always kept clean. Would recommend definitely.

I went for “Thirsty Thursday” and tried a fruit tea and it was great! it was a lemon green tea with strawberry bits & boba (if that’s how you spell it). The only gripe I had this go around was the wait time. I placed my order before a lot of others who came in yet their orders were done ahead of mine because the drink makers grabbed the cups at random instead of a first come first serve basis. Personally, I think this place would benefit greatly from a uniform system that works on a first come first serve basis prioritizing call-ins. but again, you can’t beat the ambience & the employees seem happy to be there & it shows in the service.

After hearing my friend’s rave review of East Wave she convinced me to make a visit with her. We had a great experience. The restaurant is modern, bright and feels really clean. The staff was kind and patient as we read over the new menu and they made suggestions, too! My friend and I shared jasmine green milk tea, pork buns & chicken dumplings. Everything was delicious!
