Actually not a fan for their noodles, you have such good soup but really terrible noodles, sticky, not chewy and really destroys the experience. Not sure if this is my personal experience or just because it is too crowded today. I even can’t believe how this brand develops to this stage if the noodles are this level. If so, why not also offer the choice of classic Hunan rice noodles? For “Five grain” or “more healthy“?

They not only have fresh fish and super delicious soup base, they also offer the BEST service you will ever find. This is the only place I’ve been to that when asked for takeout boxes and bags, they open them up for the customers. Such attentive people!

It’s such a gem in Bay Area. Went there with friends and everyone was satisfied with the qualities and the service. The owner was so friendly when we entered. Right after we were seated, the nice herb tea was on the table. We ordered three different kinds of noodles, beef and fish, spicy and non-spicy, all of them were so good, the soup base was very tasty. We also tried several side dishes, they were all very fresh and just remind me the taste from home. I am sure they don’t use MSG in their dishes since I usually get headaches if I take MSG. But after finishing the soup and dishes, I didn’t feel thirsty nor headache! Definitely will go back again.

My husband and I love this place. We think of it as our “lunch date” place on Fridays when we both work from home. The soup is yummy and the noodles have a pleasant chewy texture. I’ve tried every soup kind once. My favorite is the snakehead fish soup. The extra nice thing about the food is that it actually heats up well the next day. Usually, leftover noodles don’t do well overnight. The service is fast and friendly; the place is clean. Big fan.

Updated: the owner read this review and replied the feedback. Got a chance to revisit the restaurant. Glad and surprised to see the change: they replaced the to-to box for adding more noodles! And it is significantly more! I can fill myself finally! This is an excellent example of accepting customer feedbacks and making improvements! Because I love noodle soups, I really appreciate the owner’s sincerity, carefulness, and hard working. This will be my frequent go to restaurant!! Kudos to the owner! Great job!

My first time trying the Five Grains noddles. Five grains noodles have different kinds of noddles mixed together. It sounds strange but it tastes amazing surprisingly. The noodles are made fresh and cooked al dante. The soup is rich and delicious. I have an original flavor fish stock with good amount of boneless fish pieces, vegetables, and quail egg. Although it’s fish based flavor but it’s not fishy at all. For those who like to drink soup will be delightful to the generous portion. The seating is comfortable and spacious. They have also spicy five grains and tomato soup based five grains.
