Was looking for a place to get Elk burger and happen to find Uptown Barrel Room serving it. It was only my 2nd time having an Elk burger but I think they had a really good one and it was cooked exactly how they recommended it to be cooked! However, I wasn’t very convinced with the amount of onion rings served. The 2 drinks I had were pretty good. Last but not the least the staff were very nice and attentive and I think that’s a big plus to this place. Overall had a good dinner!

The vibe of this place gave me upscale dive bar, which was unique. I like this place for their diverse menu as there’s a little bit of everything for everyone such as pizza/calzones, steak, pasta, burgers, salad etc… For the price of the food, I do wish it was a bit more flavorful and seasoned. I had the impossible burger with mashed potatoes instead of fries and it wasn’t bad, it just lacked that extra kick to really make it memorable. I didn’t order any drinks, but they did have a great selection to choose from!

This place could have been good. We actually enjoyed everything up until the middle of our meal when we were told ( mid meal mid and conversation) we only had 45min left to eat because the table was reserved for a later time. There’s no way I could have stretched our meal 45 min longer. Then a few minutes later they swapped out the reservation card on the table. Couldn’t wait until we left. Service is everything, that’s why we go out to dine and they wholly missed the mark here. 2 Stars is for the cooks.

Service was top notch. Owner came back just to talk with our party about the different wines available and tell us his story. Very interesting and knowledgeable.

Top notch service, high quality food, affordable prices, and an array of fine wine. Don’t miss out on this amazing place in Uptown. Last night we also ordered a dessert and it was amaze-balls!

The wife and I were in the mood for a steak so we figured we would try this place out. We went for an early dinner, so the place was slow and quiet which was nice. The service was friendly and quick. We got a couple of drinks from the extensive drink and beer menu and each ordered the Filet Oscar. When the food came it looked delicious. But it wasn’t. The potatoes were cold and lumpy. The crab/lobster topper was flavorless. And the filets were basically inedible. They were tough and grisly and had no beef taste at all. We didn’t eat much of it. They took one off the bill at least. Really bummed that it wasn’t better. The only reason they got 2 stars is the staff.

Been here before a couple times, but, I’m glad we came this time, it seems like a new menu, or at least updated! I had the steak bites with mushrooms small plate, it was so good! We also had the Uptown Louie from the salad selection, also very good! It was hard to choose what to have, but, we’ll definitely go back to try some of the steaks listed. There are choices for pizza, calzone, wings and lots more! They also have an impressive brunch menu served on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as a nice lunch only menu 11am-4pm. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

This place is pretty chill and has inside and outside seating. They’re quite reasonably priced for what you get. Lots of different options to choose from and the portions are pretty big. It takes a little while to get what you order so you know it’s being made fresh in the back and not just kept heated under a lamp. Several different wine and beer choices ranging from inexpensive to exotic. I’d recommend giving them a try, they have something to suit just about everyone.

I’m honestly a bit torn about this restaurant… moreover because it seems to be having an identity crisis trying to walk the line between an upscale restaurant and a sports bar.

Been a minute. My whole family has had life interrupted by COVID for a couple weeks so I haven’t hardly been out except for necessity, but are finally getting back to normal. Not a fun bug, that’s for sure. Been thinking I should have more veggies today, but I have had two Hawaiian papayas this week and a bunch of apples. Screw it, comfort food it is. I’ve had these braised or roasted pork ribs, or however they’re made, once before. Are they the best thing ever? No. Can you cut them with a fork and put some of that garlic mash on the same fork with it? Yes. Really it reminds me of something my mom would put in the oven and be ready for dinner in the late 80s before she got sick. Definitely a callback to a different time, at least for me. Accompanied by my usual bourbon sour and also an old fashioned tonight because Basil Hayden just sounded good. It’s just a really pliable and smooth spirit, bourbon or otherwise. Overall, good drinks here and the food ain’t too shabby either.
