My favorite sushi place. George is the owner and he is wonderful, all the staff is terrific. We look forward to coming in. The food is fresh and the service is always on point. Must try the Hangover Veggies on your yellowtail or tuna, its off the menu but you wont regret it! Good Micheladas. Best Edamame I’ve ever had and the oysters are a must!

We had dinner at this establishment in the hopes of finding a good/great sushi place near the movies but sadly we were disappointed. Ordered calamari which was super deep fried, not chewy, but practically tasteless. It didn’t help that they served it with marinara sauce which made me feel like I should be having mozzarella sticks instead. Roll-wise, the overall flavor wasn’t bad but the fish wasn’t that great. The California roll was good, but it’s hard to mess that one up. The soda machine (would normally have a Japanese brew but cutting back this month ) must not have been working right, drink was totally flat. A couple of the server/helpers seemed a bit too young to be working ♂️? Atmosphere was ok except for the music which was way too loud for a sushi place. I suppose it had more of a sports bar vibe with 3 large screens facing the tables. Pricing, on the higher end. Overall I was hoping for much better! Maybe they’ll improve, despite having been open there for some time now.

Oh snap! New sushi place in SCV. We found them on Thanksgiving because our regular spot was closed (cough, cough, Mr. Sushi). However, we are thrilled that we found this place. Sushi Bar is right on Main Street with ample seating, extremely fast service, and amazing sushi. We ordered a smorgasbord of items: dumplings, miso, Cali roll, Spicy Tuna, Omega roll, and a Lemon Flush roll. All of them were life-changing.

As a self proclaimed foodie, I usually would repeat my visit at the restaurant if #1 food was excellent and #2 service was pleasant. We stayed in New hall and tried to google a nearby sushi place and this place came up within walking distance. I called to order but the lady who answered the phone sounded impatient and quite impolite. Anyway, I ordered the sashimi combo and Salmon egg roe. Sashimi and Salmon egg roe tasted fresh and size was decent. They put all the stuff I usually don’t see in any other places like cucumber, jalapeno, caramelized onions (which I found interesting). They overcharged me for the combo. It’s not as advertised on the menu. I didn’t realize at first but later found out..I just let it go cuz when I picked up my food, it must have been the same lady. She was rushed and not that pleasant. So, you can try this place if you don’t mind the service. I’m okay with not returning. There are lots of other sushi places around.

Loved the food but the service was lacking. But the food was so good that I’ll still go back. We did go during dinner rush so maybe that’s why the service was not that great. Also note they add 4% to your entire bill but I don’t remember what for so just heads up.

Love the place and I think is a Mexican sushi fusion!! Highly recommended! Try el chapo!! Love that shave cucumber!! Other one I like what’s el boracho it has a limy flavor!! The onions on top I couldn’t tell if they were grilled or lime grilled it was bomb! There margaritas are good! For an affordable price!

Gotta say, what a pleasant surprise!! Very tasty sushi & good variety of rolls & ramens. We enjoyed our dinner so much last night, we came back for lunch today!! Good vegan and vegetarian selections also! Avocado topped veggie roll & Spicy Papi roll. Yummmmy!!!!
